Where there is a buck to be made on the internet for a webpage to draw ad revenue, there will be a website made....no matter how distasteful. That is my guess on how this popped up so quickly, or its a hawk fan I guess.

It all depends on what you define as "success". If the graduation rate stays high, the team stays out of "off the field trouble", and we make improvements year-to-year where we can be .500 in the next four years, that would be successful.
Besides, who jams a guy before he even gets started and has a chance to pick coordinators?
Think of it this way... What if you were to take a new job in Ames in managing a firm in Ames and you had some guy berating you before you entered the door that had no input on your hiring? You'd think that individual was rude and irresponsible.
Give it time and please consider holding off judgement at least a little while.

The people that made up that web site are a bunch of idiots!! Yes Paul Rhoads does not have head coaching experience, but what if we hired someone that did and totally sucked here. I believe Paul will be successful and I am glad to have this coach leading this program. For crying out loud give this man a chance. People gave you a chance at your freakin job so let Jamie and Paul do there's and support them 100% in doing so.

He looks like a great motivator and much more comfortable as a head coach during his day one press conference than GC did.
If we keep our athletes I would say he has a way with kids and he will be able to recruit just fine... (look at the turnover Nebraska had with the Pelini hire)
I am actually very comfortable with him and I know nothing about him. That is a very reassuring feeling that bodes well for the future.

A bowl game is a distant possibility next year.
The "results" come in years 5-10 and beyond. That will define him as a Cyclone Great!
While I appreciate the spirit of this thread, it's completely unfair to ask this question. The guy has the fundamentals to be a legend, BUT life is governed by probability. By pure estimation (gut feeling) I would say Paul succeeds five times out ten (50% for you statisticians). In my view, there are two ways to defeat the odds: Coach at an even higher level than his norm, or garner support and patience (a built in feature to the ISU job).
At first glance, most would say he's going to be at least as successful as Dan McCarney, but with the right bounces (probability) he could take us beyond. I voted yes because that's what I want to see, but that's different than reality. Paul controls his destiny. We as fans also control our destiny. Patience and support, those are the intangibles that will tip the odds in ISU's favor.
