I’m pretty confident in saying LW isnt getting drafted this year..Hopefully after next season he will. But NBA team s vote to invite players to combine..He wasnt on it..I think others and scouts have mentioned his flaws not to mention his measurables working against him..and i find it incredibly hard to believe that after 1 workout an NBA team would tell him...Yep we are drafting you. Now if he worked out for a team and tehn that same team had him come back a 2nd and 3rd time just to make sure then i could maybe see it...There are many other prospective players at these workouts...just my opinion.

Let’s not pretend if Wigg stayed in the draft that we wouldn’t have a large contingent of vocal posters putting Prohm on the hot seat, asking what is going on with the program, bashing Wigg as “not ready”, and generally predicting the demise of ISU basketball all under the guise of just being “concerned”.
Eh idk about that. LW has been saying since day 1 his goal is nba and he would go whenever he was ready..
Losing LW wouod suck but I think this team will still be tourney team. Healthy Babb with addition of Shayok, THT, Jacobsen will make big diff.
I’m not even sure why a guy would want to be a second round pick. The money is not great, team “promises” are not legally binding, the “hit rate” is low, and your salary and career expectations are nothing fantastic. It is night and day between being #30 and #31 in the draft.
Heck, I'd say outside of the lottery the "hit rate" is significantly lower.
Also, when does LW have to declare by?

Making nba roster is extremely hard and making one as a guard even harder.. I agree with you btw. Why leave to get drafted in 2nd round(if it even happens) when 2019 boards have you as potential 1st rd pick.

That team that takes him in the 2nd round could cut him a few months later if they want. At best right now, I'd see that team putting LW on their G league team and having him work on becoming a PG. IMO, he definitely needs another year in college.

Not too many teams (if any) finish in last place in their conference with a "one and done" player.
I wonder whats more common, getting last place in your conference with a 1 and done player (FTR, I still think LW comes back another year) or failing to make any post season tournament with the # 1 pick on your team (Ben Simmons and LSU).
Very few play in a conference with 9 potential NCAA teams.
LSU didn't get much success from Ben Simmons. Texas didn't get much success from Durant.
Those are probably the two most talented college freshman in the past 20 years (since LeBron didn't play in college).
LSU missed the NCAA tournament in 4 years of Pete Maravich and Ben Simmons combined with 0 conference titles.
With Shaq they won an SEC title and made the NCAA all three years, but they never got to the sweet 16 with Shaq. 2-3 record.
That's possibly the 3 most talented college players, definitely 3 of the top 10.
