Why is Kinnick Stadium considered historic?

Another epic slugfest between two college football heavyweights for the nation to enjoy. Tough loss, but the B1G is a meatgrinder. Defense needed to step up and get the stop on the last drive and they didn't. 3-1 heading into the bye isn't bad. Congrats on Akron, keep on winning.

Serious question, who was the guy that gave up that last TD Hornibrook threw?

Two heavyweights? Meatgrinder?

People are basically saying that was the division determining game. You cant say that, about the first game, and then have a meatgrinder schedule. Jeez.

Iowa is probably 8-4/9-3 this year. They are a decent team.

Heavyweights? An unranked team vs an overrated team that just lost at home to BYU. Heavyweights;)

I think they could potentially win 10 games, I don't give it a high probability, but they could. I think 9-3 is what they are looking at with losses to Penn St. and some mystery lose that they usually have. I was thinking 9-3 before the season, and so far it has played out just like I expected.

Must be nice to have that schedule

Give me that schedule against unranked Baylor, Kansas, OSU, KState, and TCU, that is an easy 5-0. Texas (loss to Maryland) and Tech are the 3rd and 4th best teams in the Big12, lol.
It's been 1 week for conference play.
I like your jump to conclusions mat though.

You realize ISU will have a much harder schedule than Iowa right?

Agree with this tweet on last nights game:

I'm sure Ohio State and Michigan will be really interested to hear that you need a trophy for it to be a rivalry game.

And in the 124 years since Wisconsin and Iowa first played, they have played 92 times, the series is 47-43-2 for Wisconsin, and of the 32 years they didn't play, 25 of those game before 1924.

Maybe you just have a difficult time figuring out what's a rivalry, but trust me, it's a rivalry.
That’s just it. Michigan-OSU do not need to add a trophy to the series. If Wisky-Iowa was such an intense rivalry, why did a trophy have to be added 114 years into it?
Just like the ‘Heroes’ game, just trying too hard.

ISU wants to be more like Wisconsin and Iowa than they do Oregon. I get that as a Big 12 fan you don't really understand what defense is, but the more good defense you see played the more you will appreciate it, I promise you that.
