Are the Message boards Filled with Husker Fans promoting Norvell as the Next ISU Coach?

If this guy was so great I would want to keep him. Of course if he s*cks, I would hope one of my division rivals would hire him and I would promote him all the time and proclaim how great he is. I definitely wouldn't want them to hire a guy (like Harbaugh) who might take ISU to the next level.

Obviously Callahan wants to call all the plays and is now more comfortable. He proabbly has someone in mind. Plus he knows how Norvell thinks when he plays him. Might not want competition from Harbaugh.

Great stuff Stormin. There is just something about Harbaugh as ISU's next FB coach that is terribly intriguing. I would love to see what kind of recruits he could attract to ISU.

I get uneasy when I feel like I'm being sold a coach.

That's how I feel reading Callahan's comments and reading stuff from Husker fans.

I hear you, Dave. I have the same bad vibe as you do. I can climb on board with any of the candidates with one exception and that is Norvell.

Maybe this is misdirection. The Huskers want to keep Norvell, so they sell us that he's the guy for us, so we get suspicious.

As if any of these conversations mattered, I suppose.

I have to agree with others here. I am excited about all the candidates that have been thrown about EXCEPT Norvell. He's not even the best former Mac assistant available -- that would be Steve Loney.

If Pollard makes this hire, I will be registering the domain FireJamiePollard.com. I could care less about the GMac hiring. Football is what it all comes down to just like JP himself said. How's that for a divided fan base JP???

Everytime I hear Nebraska, I think of Barney Cotton. :no6xn:

No thanks to Nebraskans. We can do better!

Norvell would be the second OC from Nebraska we have hired in a row. First was Barney Cotton. UGH!!! If JP hires Norvell expect season ticket sales to total around 20,000.

Stormin, if we hire Norvell I will feel like the kid who gets a pair of socks at Christmas! If we hire Harbaugh, I will feel like the kid who gets a PS3 for Christmas!

Or if you are into cars: Norvell = Honda Accord, Harbaugh = Porsche 911.

Norvell is a Ford Fiesta or a Geo Metro. Honda Accord is a pretty decent car.

JP's butt is on the line here. I hope he knows hiring Norvell will alienate a lot of fans.
So give me the names of people who won't alienate fans? C'mon--cliche's are cliche's because they're said so often because they're true:

You can't please everyone.

You can't please everyone, but I don't know anyone, except Marty and Miller, who believe Norvell is the right hire. I honestly feel that Pollard knows this, and there is no way he hires Norvell.
