- Rice's leading RB C.J. Ugokwe ran for 809 yards, 4.8 ypc and 12.8 carries/game. ISU's leading rusher Alexander Robinson ran for 703 yards, 4.6 ypc and 12.75 carries/game. So Bo or A-Rob should expect more yards, more ypc and equal to more touches under the new coach than before.
- Rice's RB was ranked 75th, A-Rob was 72nd. Very similar.
- Rice's 3rd leading rusher behind the QB was their TIGHT END James Casey with 241 yards, 4.2 ypc, 4.4 carries/game and 6 rushing TD's. ISU's 3rd leading rusher behind the QB was RB Jason Scales with 185 yards, 3.1 ypc, 5 carries/game and 5 TD's. See team stats on above links.
- TE as 3rd leading rusher shows that Tom Herman will find ways to get his most talented players the ball AND that he knows and uses big short yardage backs in the Red Zone.
- Do you really think a Mensa member coach will only play favorite players or not look for ways to play the best players? That's Chizik-dumb, not Mensa smart.
- Rice had 965 offensive plays and 74 plays/game(965/13). ISU had 841 offensive plays and 70 plays/game (841/12).
- Rice Season Recaps
- ISU Season Recaps
If I'm Schwartz, I'm really excited for next year - he should expect to be used a lot more than a TE for 3rd leading rusher.
