You just have to tweek it where you arent dry like a desert and where you windows arent dripping on the inside. Its not that hard to turn it up or down until you find a happy medium. If you dont notice it, then somethings wrong.

OFF is the only setting that prevents the windows from dripping. Bad investment.

mine is hooked to my furnace and it does a marginal job, although better than nothing...

I think it wastes a lot of water actually, the water that doesnt evaporate runs out the other side of the filter.

I would say overall they are marginal and better than nothing, but not much better...
