I believe I saw it on Twitter from someone who said something like “we don’t know the type of player Jack’s going to be.” Meaning he thinks Jack will be a shell of himself and likely not play much.

I’ve also heard speculation from my Iowa source who said that it’ll be interesting to see how Jack comes back this time. That apparently it was extremely tough for him coming back from his last knee injury and now he’s going to be doing the exact same thing.

Random speculation from a fan on Twitter? Ok

And it's not the exact same thing. They are two completely different injuries, the first was an ACL and this one is the meniscus.

@Expert you laughed at me saying “Iowa fans believe Jack is something he’s not.” Do you think that’s not true or do you think Iowa fans don’t think he’s that good? Because these stats are absolutely not good for a post that’s supposedly “good”.

PPG: 6.1
AST: 1.2
TO: 1.0
RPG: 3.8
3P%: 30%

Not to mention the guy can’t stay healthy. If you want to make an argument that Nunge would be good if he wouldn’t have gotten injured, fine but you’ll have to go to that Nunge’s alternate dimension to find him, because the one living in our reality is “meh”.

As I said before.. it’s all speculation. I actually admire you thinking Nunge’s going to be good next year considering he hasn’t done crap at Iowa.

Iowa will still be pretty solid if Wieskamp stays. With him they are probably a 18-20 win team.
He gone. And I’d guess they’d be more in the 18 win category. Iowa finished with 20 regular season wins this year (best team ever) and last year, doubtful they encompass that again next year with what they’re losing.

I don't know if "fragile" is a the right word, I think some people are just more susceptible to injury than others.... just genetics.

But it's obvious that Nunge and CJ are both VERY susceptible to being injured. And once injured multiple times, you only become more vulnerable to it happening again, and you become a much less effective athlete. Just the facts.

How many games have Nunge and CJ missed over the last few years? A ton. You cannot count on them making it through next season, or even being as effective when they are able to play.

I voted for Iowa State just for fun. The funny part is that this is even a question for a team coming off their best season in decades (round of 32 exit) with perhaps their best player in schools history and the other team won two games.

A reminder that Fran is now under contract until 2028.

I dunno, shouldn't see THAT much of a dropoff in wins with it being a non-asterisk season. I think the only losses in football are to Iowa, oklahoma, and maybe texas/OSU.
I didn’t explain myself enough. I think ISU football wins 11-12 games, depending on how we do in the Big 12 Championship / Bowl game.

I think we win between 13-16 games in bball. That’s at / below .500.

I don't have any sources that would know, but where's the JW speculation coming from? Why is he leaving?
Some NBA scouts have him as a late 2nd rounder. There’s a good shot he’ll make a team imo. If not, he’ll go overseas and try the Matt Thomas route.

He's not staying
If he is smart he will leave. I can't imagine his stats getting better without Garza drawing all the attention he did this year. A player whose stats go down does not usually mean a better opportunity at the next level.

If he was smart and had the association as a goal he wouldn’t have gone to Iowa.

I mean I don't make things up but OK. I was told he is gone. Fredrick is the question mark now
I’m not trying to start an argument or anything, but wasn’t it you who said Garza was likely gone last offseason too? Or no?
