Who has stood on Jack's 50?

Many times with Press passes. The press box is much better than being on the field. I am convinced that they use some sort of glass up there that magnifies what is going on on the field. Best time being on the field was for the Iowa game '01. I was interning with KWWL and spent as much time as possible on the field that day.
We were walking around on the field before the Iowa (didn't have a press pass then, but there was no security during pregame so we walked right on) game in '07 when one of my brother's HS friends spotted us. He worked for the FB video crew and invited us up to the scoreboard to watch the game. I passed since I had front row seats on the 49 but my brother watched from up there and said it was VERY cool.

I'm saying the number of people that have been on Clyde Williams field in their life and in JTS field isn't that high. I know it was only back in the 70's but we have some young people on this site.

I have been on both Clyde Williams Field and the JTS field. Of course, I was on Clyde Williams Field just a couple of years before it was turned into a parking lot. I'm not old enough to have been around when it was used for football games.

last and only time on the field was after ISU beat Iowa in 2001. my shoes had red paint on them after the game, my wife threw them away two years ago when we moved. she didnt realize what the red on them was.... grrrrrr!

Farm Aid (1993?)

I remember walking on that rock hard artificial turf and thinking .. "Man I'd hate to get tackled on this stuff."

you're crazy. The pressbox sucks compared to being on the field.

Used to get to play Ultimate Frisbee on the field as a member of the Men's swim Team on Fridays during the off-season drills. Of course we also had to run stairs to go with it.

I rushed the field back in 1997 when we beat Baylor to end the nation's longest losing streak. I'm pretty sure that was the last time we actually got the goalposts at JTS down and into Lake Laverne. Also rushed the field after beating Kansas in 1998 and Nebraska in 2002 (although that was more like a party on the field than an actual rushing - we were actually expected to beat Nebraska in that game).

A number of time, last time was Macs win over mizzery, had my 10 yr old son on my shoulders. Pretty cool !!!!!

Was on the 50 during the Iowa-ISU game. Actually I was on the field at one point or another during every game in 2007 and most the games in 2008.

2007 Iowa-ISU. Yep, I'm almost 30. That said, I was so ecstatic. Hopped on the field ran to the center of the field (like the thousands of other fans). Then spotted the trophy and started whooping it up with the players. My wife snapped off a some solid photos, for the memories.

I haven't been on the playing surface ever, but I did get the opportunity to move picnic tables from under the south bleachers to Lied (on a trailer with a flat tire, no less) in August of '98. Outdoor work detail for the ISC wasn't always so bad  That day was a cake walk, compared to the day we had to put up fence posts on Lincoln from Beach to Elwood...

Press Box and scoreboard.

Lets see:
4 years of playing in the band.=field access
Press pass in 02 got me to press box and field
First game i wasnt in band i was sitting in the balcony above the band next to JP. Sure got a few funny looks for that one :biglaugh:
