Who has stood on Jack's 50?

Only been on the field a couple of times.
Can't remember the year, think it was around 97-99 - in the AHS marching band there was an event where a bunch of high school bands joined ISU's band for a performance.

I was on the field during the summer of 2003. I was at The Iowa Youth Agricultural Institute and we went on a tour of field. It made me think about the possibility of during Turfgrass at ISU. There is a lot of work that goes into that small patch of grass.

Besides that, I've only been on it after an exciting Cyclone win... usually Iowa!

When I was younger my neighbor's brother was on the team. I remember they let us play on the sideline during the spring game one year. I remember getting tackled (you know, kids tackle football haha) and went face first into the turf. This was probably around '95-'96 ish so it was while we still had the old school turf. Had a nice mark on the face for a while after that one

Kissed the 50 yard line following the dismantling of a Joe Dailey-lead Nebraska in 2004. My first field storming at JTS. I stormed against Iowa 2005, Mizzou 2006, and Iowa 2007 also. Stood on the 50 for all of them. If we beat a ranked team at home (Iowa and Okie State will be ranked) I might storm again. I'm getting a little old for it though. Granted, if we ever win the division at home, I'll storm regardless of age.

back in the day I would play catch or touch FB for hours after each game.. ALL over the field. Those were the days.

-keep

Yep, several times after big wins (I went to ISU during our recent bowl years). Slammed the end of a flask of Rum on the 50 after we beat Nebraska in Seneca's Sr year!

I've never been on the field, would love to sometime. Please add any good stories.

Stormed the field after our last home game the year we went 9-3('00-'01) and won the Insight Bowl. Ran into Dan Mac, shook his hand and told him "Congrats on 8-3, Coach!" He said "We've got one more to win!" (and we did). It was pretty cool.

Dustin Avey took a big drink out of my flask, thinking it was beer. It was whiskey/coke.

Stormed all those same games. Touching the telephone trophy and watching people carry of McCarney was great!

I stormed the field with everyone after the past 2 Iowa games. A few weeks after the 07 game I was watching the a tape of the game and afterwords the VS. guy was interviewing Chizik. Suddenly, some guy ran up and gave him a hug. Something caught my eye so I rewound it and realized it was one of my good friends. It was pretty funny seeing Chizik's reaction reaction

Ran onto the field the last time we beat NU. Got ran over by Brett Meyer running to the pile of ISU players cheering in the middle. I did a faceplant but didnt even care. I was just so happy for him and the team that day

I do not exactly recall if I was at the fifty, but my first time storming the field was the 92 NU game. I was really young and did not understand why my dad was going nuts, but I thought the way the turf was spongy was neat. I do remember shaking DMac’s hand at the fifty the season of the Insight Bowl.

Every time we have stormed the field since I started college in 1999 I have been on it. You are never too old. Best one had to be Mac's last game though. That was a great sendoff.
