Make no mistake, going to Pitt would be a step down for PR right now. No way he goes, unless they through some crazy $$$ at him that changes him as a person. I just don't see it, he seems pretty vested in everything ISU, and doesn't seem like a money hungry coach looking for his next pay day. Also, he could give 10 sh*** about Pitt's National Championships 50 years ago.
If we've gone back to the late 70's, early 80's in a time machine then yes Pitt is an elite power that churns out NFL talent...if not then no Pitt is no better than Iowa State in stature
I just wandered over to Panther-lair.com for the hell of it, and was very surprised at the vitriol for Coach Rhoads there. Those guys are insufferable!
Good luck to Pitt's AD in their coaching search....you would think a fan base would be happy with a solid hire like Rhoads after having 4 head coaches in 4 years, but those guys wouldn't be happy if you brought Vince Lombardi back from the dead and hired him.
