If the party is held at someone's home, I have sometimes brought an empty gift bag, then grabbed something personal from the host's home to put in the bag. It is hilarious to watch the host's face when it gets opened!

P.S. At some point, I give something nice to the host and the person who got that gift.

Many years ago, we had @Home cable internet. After they went bankrupt, I took an old 2400 BAUD modem, a ratty serial cable, a 3.5 in floppy disk, and packaged it as an "@Home High Speed Internet Connection Kit". Much to my surprise, a couple of people at the party really wanted that modem, so my gift got stolen until it was frozen.

I like picking up some 8 track tapes at Goodwill for these.

My coworker did have a ceramic piece of art that got regifted several years in a row which became a running joke, which was harmless and fun.

I’d keep that and give a 4 pack of we will cold brew. Can looks neat but I think they poured battery acid in the can with coffee. YUCK!
