Which Sr players still have an extra year

I can see it now.....he gets sleeve tats....hits the weight room even more....pure badass.

But to your point, he absolutely reminds me of Ice. Grill also sneaky all over the place with boards and such.
he has improved immensely over. his career to this point. Only thing he really lacks is a good handle. Every time he is on a fast break I just close my eyes.

beyond that, there isn't much to complain about. dude has really put it together since big 12 play began. If he and GK can just stay consistent and not have those 0-fer nights, this team is going places.

hope he comes back next season. seems likely as he is clearly a believer in TJ and it's unlikely he's going pro.

Ward probably isn’t coming back if he isn’t getting minutes now.

I will be happy when this Covid year has ran its course.
well Osuns minutes will be available next season. If he put's his head down and improves he could earn his way onto the floor. R. Jones did it. probably safe to say none of us expected this out of jones this season.

has he been injured or has he just found himself out of the rotation? I didn't watch a lot of the games before big 12 play but thought he was in the reg rotation there for a hot minute.

He was dinged up a few games ago, but mostly I just assume there are not substantial minutes for him with Osun and Rob.

I’d argue he’s our best finisher at the rim, and best ball handler of the bigs, just looks a very noticeable step behind on understanding the defensive concepts. A full offseason with TJ’s system and he could easily take on all of Osun’s 20 mins/g next season.

You nailed it on the believer in TJ. In that mini documentary series when they interviewed Grill you could tell deep respect and appreciation for TJ....and having that on a team from a leader is so valuable (especially if things hit a bump or to help younger guys see what is needed for succeed)

Having Jones and Grill come back would be great from a leadership stand point.
I don't think this can be understated. As talented as the incoming class is leadership will be needed and critical.

TJ's system depends upon everyone doing their job and communicating with teammates. This is not a program like Kentucky (years past) where you could win with pure talent. Need some veterans to keep the newbies grounded and focused.

He has had something similar to turf toe. Learned this during the ku game.

I would be shocked if Grill doesn't come back.
So hope you're right. Just think of all the posters that would have thought I was insane for saying that 2 years ago. LOL
I just think every team needs a Grill type player. Doesn't need to be, and won't always be a star, but models everything a head coach wants for his program.
