Ok guys now that we are out of the so called Big 12's cellar, where do you think we go from here...... I know we all want an outstanding finish after the poor start but can it really happen...

Our Outcomes:

0-1 wins... Could be better/ Or very upset
2-3 wins... Not a bad finish
4-5 wins... Great finish
6-7 wins... Freakin' amazing
Win Big 12 Tourney... Greatest turn around ever :notworthy:

I am thinking we will get 2-3 more wins, one against Texas Tech, the other or others against either K-State, Baylor, or Ok-State.

What cha' got???

this team is impossible to predict... i will not grace this board with a prediction

No it's not. I predict no more than 1 more win, MAYBE 2 if we get lucky. I'm not a downer, just a realist. I've seen this team play too much this year. Looking forward to next year.

We "could" beat Ok State Saturday. I'm guessing it won't happen, but it's winnable. Outside of that, I'd say Texas Tech is our best chance. I think we'll win one game and we'll lose one heart-breaker coming down the stretch.

I'm just happy we most likely won't finish 12th in the conference. I prefer the 6/11 game in the opening round of the Big 12 tourney, too. If you're going to make a run, that's a great seed to have.

Agreed...

We definately have a team that is able to make a Big 12 tourney run....

Except for the Kansas game, the rest of the games are winnable. But for the most part, we play well enough for 35 minutes, when we need 40 minutes. We don't finish games. I say we win 2-3 more games.

We COULD win the rest of our games!!!!!
We COULD lose the rest.....
this team is nuts, i love em' but quite honestly, on any given night we have the potential to beat alot of good teams! Im a realist too, and i am being "real" when i say that this team is impossible to predict. How does a team play so well like in our games vs. OU, CU, Texas, and NU, but somehow find ways to get beat by teams like Drake and SDSU????

Before the Colorada game, I would have agreed with you. For more than this year, ISU has had a habit of taking their foot off the gas when they get a lead under the pretense of taking some minutes off the clock but really all it does is take our players out of the game. Last night, they didn't slow down, they just gave more development time to players that needed it. I know that Colorado isn't a very good team but that is what we needed. The Cyclones did what they what they were supposed to do. Do it again, and the confidence will start to grow. Do it seven times in a row and you have a habit. That's what we need.

why not win out and get an NIT bid? could happen... oh wait i might have drank to much Kool-aid tonight sorry

As an Iowa State fan this means one thing: I want to win EVERY game we play no matter what, no matter who we are playing.

BUT, there is a small part of me that wants to lose out the regular season and win the Big 12 tourney just as a big "In your face Charlie Murphy" to college basketball.

Plus - Did everyone totally forget that optimism after a win isn't allowed on this site? :jimlad:

If we could some how weasel a NIT bid out of this year, although i do not think it will happen, I would consider that a huge turn around. Heck i would be happy with a win at Kansas :jimlad:

I agree on the 6/11 with it being a good spot tournament wise better than the dreaded 8/9, but it that would mean we won some more reg. season games and I definitely wouldnt be against that.

Some nice optimism here tonight. Good to see. God knows my heart has been broken too many times by close loses and stupid loses but you gotta love the clones win or lose. I think TT is a pretty good shot and Neb is a toss up on who comes to play. I think we got about 37 minutes of good basketball last night. About 8 more than we have seen all year. We actually won both halves against a BXII team. Even if it was CU we havent done that in a long time. I am hoping for momentum. I would love a win at Stillwater but would be okay with a good showing where we are in the game and dont have the big scoring drought.

I see potential of winning the rest of the home games. Our home in-conference losses have been OU, KU, and MU. The teams that are left to come into Hilton are not on the same level as these teams.

Kstate has been up and down. They play hard but I don't see that much difference in talent. Hilton Magic could be huge here
Baylor is 3-7 and lost their last 6. I know they looked good at times this season, but you've got to wonder about their mindset at this point.
And I think we'll be favored over Tech.

That gives us 5 conference wins with the potential for more if we can sneak one out on the road. I know it's not going to get people excited but maybe these guys can build something for the offseason.

I'll be excited!!

"Watch out, Coach. You're getting excited."

"That's right. I'm always excited!!!!"

Thank you, EA Sports, for the best commentary ever right there! Oh, yeah!!

Sorry. I'm watching Macho Man videos on YouTube, and I'm all revved up now.
