WHEN we beat KU...

Is it just me, or does this seem kind of ridicules. Discussing whether we should rush the field days before a game that we are expected to loss big in, is kind of like discussing whether we should protect ourselves if someone takes a swing at us in church.

I would like to see a Cyclone win as much as anyone, but I'm realistic about it. I think we have a better chance of knocking off Nebraska or Missouri then we have at knocking off Kansas. If we do knock them out, it will be a good victory and we should be excited. The way I see it, it just shows that we are an excited fan base. If your a player, would you whether have the fans boo you when you win games like Iowa does, or would you like fans that rush the field like ISU.

I'm worried more about winning rather than how we'll choose to celebrate.

must be a kansas fan after IState huh? or a Mizzou hater? do you really think we have a better shot at Mizzou? i mean they are both in ames so that isnt a factor. i see no way KU is better than Mizzou. i think we knock them both off, and act like we expected to do so...aka dont rush the field. as my high school coach always said, "act like youve been there before men"

this is what JP and GC have identified as the problem with IState athletics. sounds like GC has the football team believing. i realize the fans will be a tougher accomplishment.

I agree, and I'll be there supporting the team through thick and thin, but you simply can't tell anyone to EXPECT to win, not just yet. Fans can't expect to win until we see it, it's just our nature.

Not a KU fan at all and I don't think KU is better then Mizzou. If you look at history, we match up better and play better against Mizzou then we do against KU. Was KU better then Mizzou the last two seasons. KU has out scored us by 86-17 over the past two years, and Mizzou has only out scored us 58-48. Who do you think we have a better chance against.

I need to think about this more. I love rushing the field its always is so much fun exspacially when its against Iowa.(SUCKS) cough cough

kansas. i know what the history is. but mizzou hasnt been this good in the past. i say kansas.

To act like you've been there before, I think you have had to been there before. How many players on this team have beat a top 15 (now 16) team?

When was the last time we even beat a top 25 team??? Probably #8 Iowa in 2005.

It's college football. It's unexpected. If we rush the field, we rush the field. Euseph Messiah said in one of his articles on Cyclones.com that the team loves it when the fans rush the field.

I can't give you rep again after already giving it to you for another post, so I'll just say "I approve."

Mizzou wasn't this good last year? I think they are actually weaker on defense this season, and their offense isn't that much better then last year. The only major difference this year is that they don't have to play OU, until maybe the title game.

What I think is sad is that the field is rushed more now than my freshman year in college (1993) in the Walden years. We won 3 games and only rushed the field against KSU, who was ranked at the time. I think it is a joke that we rush after some of these wins. If the team is ranked or a rival, I understand, but some of these rushes are crazy.

That being said, if I was still a student and the field was being rushed, I might join in...
