My understanding is there’s a final covid test for both teams today. Anyone know when they do it and when they’ll publish the results?

Probably won't know anything unless you notice players not playing tomorrow.
Yeah I’m thinking worst case scenario with the game being postponed or cancelled. I know our tests have been good, but I haven’t heard anything about Louisiana.

At this point, ISU had no cases in the athletic department as if Wed, so it is pretty safe to say they are good to go, even if they get a case or two. More concerned about Louisiana. Covid has been fairly bad down there. I'm sure there is a lot of pressure on their coach to field a team. The payout from ISU is probably a big part of their budget. Not sure if ISU has to pay if they can't play. Guess the postponement is still available. Lots of complications this season.

No way we would have to pay them if they are the ones who have to cancel.

yeah, true. seems like ISU's players must be acting really responsibly. Wonder if they have the same testing protocols as ISU?

One would think they would have to be on the ground in the area today and one would think they were on the same plane, so one tests positive are they all then out??

I would think Louisiana has to about be on their way up here, right? I guess I was kind of figuring we'd know by now if they weren't playing, but who knows.

Did they test last night and board this morning?? Whats the least risk of one person on the plane being positive and not finding out til they land and then how many on plane would be out?

Based on UL message boards from the other thread my understanding was... UL players getting tested this AM, they are the quick tests so they'll know results midday and team plane departing 2:30pm with all eligible players.

Sounded like no issues in the team as of Wednesday testing (they have to follow same testing protocol), so fingers crossed it seems like everything would be set up for football tomorrow unless there was an outbreak within the last 48 hours on either side.

Yeah it seems any postponing or cancellations have been well in advance.

Hopefully things have been good at Louisiana and none of their players or coaches decided to get stupid this week.

can we get a flight-tracker thing going like we used to for coaching searches?

I am actually really bored and looking. None of these planes coming out of LFT are all that big and the ones coming into DSM aren't all that big today either. My search is muddled with the plane crash that happened recently so I am trying to figure out which airline ULL uses.

Individual players being out for COVID will be like injuries where people won't know until we don't see them on the field for warmups.

Semi unrelated but I was looking at other airports near Lafyette and there's a private jet from Wheels Up coming from Baton Rouge to the University of Oklahoma airport. That's interesting to me...
