Is there a way to replace PA announcer for football games? Is it a paid or contracted position? The "Cyclone Fans, rise up" type of cries sounds like a cheerleader. A little more baritone to his voice wouldn't hurt either. Just sounds cheesey and its grinding my gears.

I don't think that would be a good idea. Everyone needs to simmer down a bit. There might be other ways to address this problem. We need to really analyze this for awhile before we do go out and do something rash. The announcer probably has a 10-year contract. Let his contract expire first. Then we can worry about trying to fix this thing.
We had a good laugh in our section after we "thought" we had our first down when he announced "That's ANOTHER Cyclone....First Down". We figured we had "one in a row"...until they took it back. When we actually got a first down, we were able to agree with the announcement. 
Should he really say, "That's another Cyclone first down." when it's the first one of the game? Or is it more of an all time historical reference? The Cyclones got a first down or two in the previous game, so sure, it's another one.
best was the okie state game where he said it and it wasn't quite a first down. we ended up getting it a play later, but i think i heard him even say "oh, no it isn't"
Funny how a mediocre season in a mediocre league makes the hawk fans forget about how ****** they were about Ferentz's contract a year ago...
11 am kickoffs are killing the tailgate season too. Give us at least one more 2:30 start please!
