But how can you listen to this and not be 100% amped up???

March Madness is the single best sporting event around IMO, and college basketball isn't even my favorite sport. It is that good.

I agree. I said as much in my post. I can literally sit and watch the entire day, each and every day. The 4 channel format has nearly caused me to OD the past few years.

I'd rather go to the Elite 8 or Final 4 than win the conference.

But I'm not going to base my enjoyment of the season based on that happening. I just want to see good basketball more often than not.

I will be content or satisfied with making the tournament. I will be happy with anything past the second round. Past the Sweet 16 and I am ******* ecstatic. We are due though.

I don't really care about B12 finish, other than the likely implications it has on NCAA seeding, so in the context of the poll it is rather meaningless.

Elite 8. Gets us deep into the 2nd weekend, and that's really such an exciting time. Especially when you have that whole week long build up to the sweet 16 round and everyone is all pumped up. You really can't ask for much more than that...and that applies to virtually every other fanbase in the nation.

I love how Fred is 3-0 on the opening round. A loss in that game would be a devastating end to the season.

Solidly in the tournament and I'm satisfied. I don't want to be involved in any type of "bubble" talk. This year what I want is a sweep of KU.

What would you be satisfied with at the end of the season? IMO it's got to the point to where if we don't make the Sweet 16 it'll be a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing. Hoiberg has got this program to the point where we should expect more and want more. What does everyone else think?

Poor choice of wording to use the term "satisfied". No one is going to be satisfied following whatever loss ends our season. Satisfaction only occurs if we win it all. I mean I can rationalize and accept certain losses but won't ever be satisfied with an L. Can't believe others would either.

This is your input?

I will be content with making it to the third round, happy past that. As far as conference play, I want a top 3 finish and more than anything be nationally recognized. It's a great feeling to finally be relevant and competitive in a sport.

The goal should be to win the conference every year. If we are in the top 3, that means we'll likely be a 8 seed at WORST, and more like a 5+ seed. Then, who knows. If we win the conference, that means we knock KU off the perch, which means we are a 1/2 seed, which means we have a chance to win it all.

If you put yourself in that position consistently, it will happen.

I would call another Sweet 16 a decent season. I'd like to advance further than that though, preferably to an elite 8 or final 4.

Obviously there are lofty goals for this year's squad, and I an hoping we make it to the Sweet Sixteen or beyond. But as long as we make the tournament, the season won't be a disappointment.

You can't judge a basketball season by the tournament, it's too wild of an event. Where we finish in the conference is a more accurate measurement of how the season went. I expect us to finish 1 or 2, but won't be completely disappointed with 3 or 4.

I'd be really disappointed to finish 5th or worse.

I am the opposite. I agree it is hard but at the end of the day the tourney is what matters.

I shouldn't have played that. Now all I want to do is drink beer and watch basketball all day/weekend.
