What will ISU be ranked?

The question was asked before the Xavier game if we won the Championship if I thought they'd be ranked. Initially I thought, no and they'd fall on the outside fringes... But I'm starting to think otherwise. My guess is that they could be AP 22-20 range.
 
Arguing about pole riding is something I wouldn't thought possible a month ago.

in basketball, they are a power 5 profile. You can't look at P5 in football the same way as BB. You have a whole league, Big East for example, that can probably dust half of the P5 teams out there.

Gary has always been huge into keeping the team that got beat ahead of the team that beat tbem. It wasn't like we got lucky yesterday we beat them down badly.

I'd like to put something into perspective.

There are 350 division 1 basketball programs, or 358 if you count the 8 programs that are currently transitioning from division 2.

Iowa's strength of schedule currently ranks 354th.

You mean voters will behave like several posters on this forum continue to do for some reason? Too many glass half empty looking glasses on this site……it’s pretty cringe. I don’t think it’s fully realized what elite defensive teams do to make teams look worse than they are and how many wins it translates to.

I have a tough time seeing Memphis drop more than 10 spots. I also have a tough time seeing voters put Memphis over Iowa State after we just throttled the by 20 points. Id be surprised if we aren't top 20. I'll throw a dart and say 16th. I think the pollsters will take note of two consecutive wins vs. Top 25 opponents.

I initially thought so too but with how we dismantled Memphis I think we sneak in.
