What is your pet peeve

Illegal immigrants

Agreed there, but also...

1. People who eat out loud, in particular, people who breathe loudly while they eat.

2. A politician saying he or she "misspoke" when it was clearly a lie and none of their peers will call them on it in public.

3. People who ask you a question when he or she needs help with an answer, then asks the very same question to someone else.

4. Watching my team lose over and over again when I know they have it within themselves to be much better.

Iowa fans that wear Hawks gear to random ISU games(not clones vs hawks)...If you are an Iowa fan why aren't you in Iowa City watching the game or at home watching their game??

I will totally agree with this quote ! It drives me nuts !

Gary Dolphin and Rob Brooks. period. If you haven't got a dose of him yet Cyclone fans, you will have 40 or 50 more years of Robbie Brooks doing Hawkeye schtick, and he, well, it is what it is.

Driving home from Thanksgiving reminded me of one of my biggest ones, when people decide to hang out in the fast lane, making me pass them on the right. Nothing triggers my rage more than that on the road. I wish car accidents on all of them, no injuries necessarily, just accidents.

People who leave their seats at Hilton with about 5 minutes left in the game, and stand around the inner concourse to watch the rest of the game. Just so they can get to their car 30 seconds before everybody else.

People who mangle aphorisms. Just listened to one of the sideline reporters talk about a team having a "nondescriptive" offense, rather than "nondescript".

No kidding! I have the advantage of going to work after the weeknight games, so I guess that gives me the extra incentive to leave my seat slower, but why would a person be in a hurry to get out there and freeze when they have this nice, warm seat all paid for?

Just watch the game, people!

Actually, you could be on to something. Maybe ALL of those people have to work after the game, which is why they want to get to their cars sooner. They just have a better work ethic than you. :jimlad:

Hawkeye fans who choose to enroll at Iowa State and make their allegiance to the hawkeyes as public as possible (i.e., southernhawk).

THIS. And people who can not discuss politics or religion without insulting those who disagree with them. Some people just can not discuss these things without letting their emotions get out of control. It just shows how insecure those people actually are with their own beliefs.

I'm going to add- advertisements. Most advertisements irritate me all year, but during the holiday season they actually raise my blood pressure:

Jewelry ads- He went to Jared! I hope Jared kicked his ***.

Car ads- Oh, you bought me a Cadillac!...from our joint checking account, thanks...

Best Buy ads- don't act like you're some public servant, if someone knows so little about electronics they're asking a Best Buy employee for advice they deserve to get ripped off.

Home Depot- Let's go to Home Depot to buy all our gifts, Grandma will love her new belt sander.

Pet peeve: People who are insulting about typos--and also mods. :biglaugh:

People who bring vendettas about mods to the general board.

Also, know-it-alls.

Vendettas? Seriously.

I was annoyed last night because I'm mostly blind in one eye, and didn't see my typos.

Okay, a few things:

1. You didn't explain away your typo, you said you dislike mods. Seems a little more like a vendetta than anything else. As was the point of my original post, you could probably PM the mod in question or report a post if you have a problem with it, otherwise you will receive a response when you question people who you don't know and have no clue what they do.

2. It seems ironic that you were annoyed and didn't see your typos, when you bagged on the OP for his initial misspelling of "peeve" - which could have been a typo, as well.
