What is your biggest question mark going into game week?

Pilsner or Oktoberfest? Usually first games are something light like a Pilsner but its freaking snowing here today. ******* Snow - so maybe hit the Oktoberfest early? I guess I could go straight Porter.

Colorado?

oline
then wide outs (this is looking like 2nd year in a row of a step down)
then interior dline
then running backs (do we have a decent 1-2 punch?)

im guessin milton is punt returner again, wondering if we can do anything there besides call fair catches

no problem with manning, would like to see purdy run a bit more especially with shortened season

biggest wish i have for offense is more diverse formations

Guess I'm not too worried about the WRs. We definitely have some unproven guys, but the overall group is just as talented as last year if not more so. As good as Jones and Pettway were last year, it's not like they are sitting on NFL rosters right now.

Thought this might be an interesting thread, but what is everyone’s biggest question mark heading into this Saturday? For me, I think it’s going to be Tom Manning and his playcalling. I thought it was pretty evident he was to blame in a lot of our losses last season (throwing the ball 30+ times against Oklahoma State for example), as a lot of his playcalls were suspect to say the least. That, along with his reluctance to let Brock run really seemed to hold us back last season. If Brock isn’t allowed to run again this year, I’m definitely concerned because the O-line has very little experience and I could see us giving up a lot of sacks
Just a heads up Brock was hurt and wasn't looking to run last year.

1. O-line
2. Play calling
3. Depth at LB
4. How/where TJ Tampa is used... I think he will see time at WR, CB and maybe at punt return.
5. How many (if any) special teams blunders will there be? Will Dunn win his job back as starting punter? If so, will be shank any punts?
6. Will we have the same stupid approach to punt returns this year?
7. Who will emerge as the #2 QB?

1. Offensive Line
2. Offensive Line
3. Offensive Line
4. How well a healthy Datrone and a more experienced Tayvonn play at corner.
5. If Joe Scates can harness his immense talent/how Xavier Hutchinson looks.
6. How Isheem Young looks at safety.
7. Whether Mike Rose moves back to Mike.

This. Will our special team coaching and play be improved from last year?

Offensive questions are can we run the ball better. Need to be better in the read zone at any rate.

Defense quietly slipped last year. 3rd down defense was a part of it, but can ISU do more to pressure QBs is my question so that the secondary doesn't have so much on its shoulders. I think offenses are starting to figure out our D a little bit, so let's tweak it and keep the best 11 on the field (which is how Heacock came up with this D in the first place).

1) Today, my question is, "where is the damn depth chart?!?!"
2) O-line
3) Does the lack of a crowd help or hurt our focus?
4) Will they turn Brock loose in the running game now that he's healthy again?
5) Who will stand out that I'm not expecting?
6) Since the game is on ESPN, how many times will they shame me for being a middle aged white guy?
7) Will they show enough shots of Purdy's mom to make up for it?
