A couple 'what ifs' that have always piqued my interest...
What if in 2000 No. 1 Michigan State was upset by No 4 Syracuse in the Sweet 16? Would we have rolled past the Orangemen, Wisconsin and Florida to win the title?
What if Johnny Orr had won the title game at Michigan in 1976? Would there be any way he ever leaves the Wolverines a few years later to coach us? Would Hilton Magic exist? And without Hilton Magic being born during Hoiberg's formative years, does he go to Nebraska to play QB instead of staying home to play hoops?
