What did McKay d this time?

Whether Tommy Freaking Birch should detail his experiences with prostitutes has nothing to do with whether Prohm should talk about what went on with Jameel McKay. Sure, Tommy Birch asking Prohm for information makes Birch appear hypocritical. But why the hell do we care if Tommy Birch is hypocritical?

So should Prohm tell us what happened with Jameel? I don't have a clue about how I would handle this if I was him.

Exactly. Prohm is not any more a public figure than Register writers. The public ( not media members) decides what info they want. The media tries to get the info. Maybe people want to know why a guy who tried to hire a prostitute still has a job. It's a fair question. Too bad the media doesn't try and figure out.

You are completely nuts. This message board is dedicated to athletics and there are millions at stake. A reporter makes 35k a year and is just trying to make a living.

I don't like how Prohm is handling this at all. It looks more like Prohm would like to sabotage the season so he doesn't hear "that was fred's team" when they do well. As we all know Prohm will be judged on the next 3 years with his class and it will not look good if his best year was with fred's guys. A bad way to look at it as a coach but from what I see and hear his decisions have not been good or justified when you are talking about kids and the way they may act in college.

Psychedelic drugs are illegal!

I'm glad Prohm said he wants to focus on the positive things. Way too many negative things swirling around the program, mostly due to fans and expectations.

Accordion to this site - Jameel learned a lot from the players meeting...? Maybe? Wtf is going on? Prom gets ****** when asked why a, until three games ago, season starter doesn't even play. Listen Steve, you are coaching in the best conference in the ncaa now- you need to answer these questions.

Prohm doesn't owe you or anyone else an explanation. He is the Head Coach of a D1 basketball program in the best conference in the country. He didn't get here by forced to say something that he thinks should stay in house if that's what it is.

I dont really think they are comparable.

Most of us have given thousands to a program that Prohm coaches and Mckay plays for. Plenty want to know what the deal is with McKay tonight.

I dont think most people have invested in Birch or the register in any serious way and dont really give a damn what he does in his personal life.

lol Let me get this straight...you believe you deserve a response to a question because you willingly gave money to a state university?

My thoughts exactly. Why risk a possible injury against a team we'd more than likely beat with WVU in 48 hours and lots more basketball to come? I'll hold off judgement until there's more information.
Guess we'll know tomorrow night.

Yeah you know, I don't think we have a right to know either. And we don't need that to be the issue. Let Prohm coach, he is trying to break Mckay

This guy doesn't know what a "public figure" is. Confuses it with "name more well known than self." LOL at poster.

Yeah, Prohm wants to be known for not succeeding with a pre season top 10 team

Actually, in my opinion a public figure is one that the public decides. To people that don't give a **** about Iowa State basketball, Jameel McKay isn't a public figure. To news junkies maybe Tommy Birch is.

Totally disagree...CPR kicked off TJ Mutch who was a freshman stud Safety and one of our best players for being a negative drain and bad seed to the team. If JM played for IZZO it would be sane thing. Like another poster said Prohm is Eustachy without the Busch light.

Why does it matter that he didn't play? Why do people care so much and have to know exactly what happened? Did any of you think that maybe he is protecting McKay? Maybe he tweaked his knee or maybe he did something stupid like be was late for a meeting or shoot around...maybe he was late or missed a class...why does it matter? Iowa State won...McKay was on the bench and was cheering on his teammates...just let this one go.

If McKay just skipped class or something small like that I see only one logical reason for Prohm to keep it hidden. Prohm is testing McKay to see if he slips up on Twitter or tells someone who will inform the press. McKay needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and Twitter feed bare.

This site never ceases to amaze me.

Normally the "derp" comes out in the threads in the meltdowns after a loss, but this thread has featured an equally stupefying amount of derp after a win.

His body language on the bench tonight suggests to me it's not his knee keeping him out tonight.

Announcers had a good point about this. Hes a super tall and lanky dude crammed into a seat *** to elbow. There is very few ways you can sit in that situation, and even fewer ways you can sit comfortably. Analyzing body language in that scenario is not suggested.
