Time will tell. I do tend to believe the best about people, and know that means sometimes I'll be disappointed. But I believe Prohm when he says he cares about McKay and wants what is best for him. And I believe McKay when he says he has made mistakes but is all in for his brothers. Time will tell.
 
Not knowing the story from the past game but his previous actions caused me to lose some respect for Jameel. He was a first round draft pick on some mock drafts.

Are you serious!? Get the University President involved because the coach isn't playing a player who is a head case and has been sucking? That's a good way to run a coach out of town and ensure no other coach worth a crap comes here.

Let's end this all now, he wasn't going to class... Prohm wants kids to graduate... McKay already has the grades to play, so he didn't go to class for a day or two. Prohm, who has had a bad vibe all year with McKay wanted to let him know who was boss.. (again)

I don't agree with Prohm because most players (who think they are going pro) don't go to class their spring classes... but most of you already know my take with Prohm. So let me have it.
 
I ditched classes all of the time my final semester and I graduated. So if this is the issue, I'm definitely not casting any stones. Hope the rest of you follow suit

I used to go sit in those big comfy chairs on the second floor of the library, place my feet on the heating vents, and nap instead of going to most of my classes my final semester.

In this thread, I'm seeing people comment that Coach K, Pitino and Izzo wouldn't comment regarding a "coach's decision". Are you really comparing Steve Prohm to these three giants of the game? He hasn't even remotely earned that right.

In conclusion, I'm not throwing Steve Prohm under the bus and I'm hopeful his tenure at ISU will be lengthy and successful. Having said that, he obviously doesn't have all the answers and has underachieved with THIS team to this point in the season. He doesn't get a free pass and is answerable to the stockholders...

Yeah he is answerable for winning not who he plays after a game. You are wrong. Go watch Hoosiers, you sound like one of the town people in the barbershop.

Why do we need to bring TB's personal life into this? Like said above... I'm sure most people in here would get a pro after looking at their wife/gf... and for the people who cannot get a gf/wife... life must suck!

If that's really all it is, then I have no issues with it. How did Prohm find out he wasn't going? That's really where McKay screwed up is allowing the coach to find out. I would imagine there is a large amount of players that aren't going to class in their last semester.

pretty weak defense. of course there are many many things worse. there are also many, many things better. and I'm not sure you are right about the not married part. At least at the time . . .

From what I remember from a friend of mine who was in Gymnastics, they had to check in at certain places. And I'm sure they can potentially ask any professors. They probably don't check up on it much, but McKay was in the doghouse, so they likely decided to check in on him more frequently.

Im not defending the guy, I dont know him personally and dont have any reason to. I just dont give a rats *** if a man pays for sex. Who cares? Its sex. Sex is awesome. I have a bigger issue with people who drive drunk, and I guarantee a vast majority of the people trying to bring Birch down have drove drunk before.

Also, for the few people I know who know Birch, his marriage was over when this happened.
