What a kick

Where does he think Texas is going? Big 10??? Quote below from the article:

I don’t think Texas will go to the Pac 10, but I don’t think they’ll stick around, either,

OK, take KSU over us. That's fine. See you in a couple years. The more I think about this, the more I want to go to the MWC. I am convinced it will be a BCS conference once they added BSU and on top of that, they could have a few other former BCS schools. I think we have a better shot there. I would love to play one of the big boys in a BCS bowl in 3-4 years and kick the **** out of them. That would be great.

Congrats on getting to that point, I couldn't do it. I find it hard to take someone seriously when they write something like that.

Well, that's what we get for sucking in both of the major sports for the majority of the past 10 years. Not sure why this type of sentiment comes as a surprise to anyone.

This is the exact line of reasoning that will eventually lead to the demise of all small population schools from major conferences. If this first domino falls, eventually it will be a handful of the biggest schools excluding everybody else.

Our last ten years in football have probably been the best in our history, but apparently that was sucking.

Texas is not going to be happy associating with a bunch of Kalifornia folk. At the end of the day, Texas will stay in a new-look B12 and extort even more money and power from the schools in the conference.

Scout.com is still operational? WHo really goes there?

I haven't logged on to any scout site in years since I signed up with an e-mail address used only for a scout site and got swamped with spam.

I have been saying this for weeks.

its all relative. when you are an ISU fan you have been trained that mediocre is as good as it gets. But, to 80% of the BCS colleges our record over the last ten years is indeed "sucking."

The MWC conference doesn't HAVE to take us and I think it would be very far from a sure thing. Let's hope we don't have to find out.

This is the perception of our school unfortunately. For those that live in Iowa and are a little secluded from national opinion.... this is how people regard us.

The vast majority of folks have no clue that we even had a brief successful stint in bball and most would consider us one of the worst (bottom 5 or so) BCS schools in football.

success wise I think it can be shown that in the history of the BCS's colleges we have had the least success (least seasons with a top 25 finish).

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that someone has to be at the bottom of the conference. You could form a super conference with the best schools in the nation, and a couple of them are going to gravitate to the bottom of the picking order.

This is why 16 member conferences are going to be volatile.
