Best way to get some rain? Schedule an ISU football game. Apparently mother nature missed the memo that no fans will be parking in the grass lots that day.

Kind of surprised we didn't have a game scheduled August 10.

Given that nearly all the state is in some kind of drought right now my last concern is about a wet field for the game if the trade off is the state get some MUCH needed rain. If you've ventured out into west central part of the state where the drought is the worst there are some huge cracks in the ground and creeks that have dried up that usually have water all year long.

Drove by the grass lots this morning. Grass was wet. Not a good sign to start the season. Haunted Forest looked likes they tried to combine whatever they sowed earlier this spring. Probably got a still site on the way east end if they planted rye.
