Were you CY?

Where you ever, or are you now, one of the CY's? Who wasn't a CY that wanted to be and why? Who never even wanted to be CY?

Man, I think it was the 2000 season but whoever was CY during basketball season had mad hops. I remember this dude dunking and stuff without assistance.

I wasn't a CY, and likely never will be. Mostly because of the time and travel demands that go along with it. I didn't realize that you had to be willing and able to travel to most/all Cyclone events, no matter the distance and sport/season. If I didn't have a college student's budget of nothing, maybe I could have been able to swing it. However, if they'd let alumni try out, I'd LOVE being CY as a part-time job once I start teaching. :yes4lo:

The only thing I know about dbronco is that he does dorkier things than I do (name board at CF tailgate for spring scrimmage), and that's saying quite a lot.

I would gladly be a CY for spring and summer, but they require you to do it for the full academic year. That sucks. I was bummed when I found that out.

I think the new Chaplain...er...Life Skills Adviser...should get to be Cy for at least one game this fall.

Is this like trying to guess who the "Bear" was on Beat the Bear? Was I the only geek that watched Zabel get Sh!t faced and try to do that show? I remember one year when Walden was the bear. LOL. Good times.

Last night I had dinner and beer with a cy from 10 years ago, uh actually come to think of it, it's more like cy from 15 years ago. D*mn I'm getting old.

I was Cy from 03-05. Had some fantastic times, met a lot of people, and traveled a lot of places. Had many unforgetable memories. It did take a lot of time, and sweat, but I'd do it again if given the opportunity.

top memories: Madison Square NIT bball '04 (we did lose, but it was an amazing environment, if TV would have showed the mascot fight during the 1st TO in the 2nd half Cy'd have one the 'Most Dominate Mascot' by actions rather than voting); Beating Texas in Hilton bball '04; Women beating Baylor and TTech '04; Independence Bowl '05

Never was... would like to be but the full year commitment is kinda hard... and I´d miss face painting and running around Hilton too much :laugh8kb:
