Weekend Upsets with WrestleStat - Week 1 2020

It’s back!
Each week we’ll put out a list of the biggest upsets that occurred over the weekend, where the upset wrestler is ranked in the top 20.
These lists are going to be longer than normal for the first half of the season until wrestlers get “settled-in” to a more accurate ranking for this season.

Kendall Coleman has a nice little weekend.

He didn't pull off the upset, but Ryan Anderson had a marathon match with Gerard Angelo of Rutgers. Ultimately, he fell in TB2 due to a lack of mat wrestling skills (as is the case with most Freshmen), but he looked good on his feet and looked like he had a lot of fun.

Angelo I believe is a former PA standout, committed to Cornell, ended up at community college and now Rutgers.

If Anderson ever entered the transfer portal, it would be fun to see him make his way to ISU. He just seems to love wrestling. If that kid were to lean out to 141, he'd be a beast.
