Week 1 prediction thread

It would be interesting to take all the score predictions here, average them out, and see how close it gets to the vegas lines.

I predict I'll be running errands at some point while the Iowa game is on. I'll scan past one of the 15 stations in my area that carry them on the radio, so I'll stop for a bit to check the score. Dolph and Ed will spend whatever amount of time I'm listening talking about inane crap not remotely related to the game and I will be unable to ascertain, time, score, or who even has the ball. I will then curse myself for time wasted and thank God for the 10,000th time for John and Eric.

I think Iowa rolls that one guy that NIU has on defense isn’t going to be able to do enough to make a real difference. Fant 2 TD’s and 100+ yards. 2 other Rushing TDS’s and a couple FG’s.

Iowa 34
NIU 14

Anyone want to preview a post from someone after the games?

My preview from an Iowa poster, “the offense struggled but when we get our tackles back we will be fine”.

Or

“We were completely vanilla and still pulled out the win. We beat the clones by two touchdowns”.

At least you guys are finally admitting you have no OL depth

I think both games end at 38-16. Should get decent weather for both. Scores could be lower with teams running basic game plans.

Northern Illinois will struggle to score points on offense. They’re going to need a defensive touchdown, see NDSU, to flip momentum and win. They won’t get it and pull away in the 2nd half to cruise 31-13.

I think you’re going to see ISU open it up through the air. They throw for 300+ and win 35-13.

Here’s to no injuries both teams.

My first prediction wasn’t too bad. Let’s see what the Clones do.
