Well basically our 2 starting tackles being out. I just see us being Uber conservative to compensate. Probably keep a TE in to help with pass protection which could negate Fant to a degree...and I think NIU is a decent squad. We’ll see... I’m always “nervous “ though

Plus breaking in 3 new LB’s...I expect some growing pains there

Almost identical games. Both away teams will keep it close at the half with the home teams pulling away in the second half. Neither offense will look great in the rain. Neither team also wants to give up too much for next weeks Cy-Hawk game

Northern Illinois will struggle to score points on offense. They’re going to need a defensive touchdown, see NDSU, to flip momentum and win. They won’t get it and pull away in the 2nd half to cruise 31-13.

I think you’re going to see ISU open it up through the air. They throw for 300+ and win 35-13.

I agree, I think both opponents are going to keep it uncomfortably close for awhile.

Could be wrong, but I think it's accepted fact among the gambling types that rain actually has no effect on scoring. It's wind that makes the difference. Just thought I'd share.

Lol just teasing. All joking aside I would be nervous about the backup OT's having to go up against the best DE on the field Saturday. I think you're right and Iowa is going to go conservative and keep a TE or RB in to help block
