Web Browser?

Never seen it. Any good? And yes, I love my Mac, although my career relies on my PC.

Uh, still digesting that movie. Its a very weird scifi adventure, I will say.

As for browsers, I have used them all and the one I always come back to of the non-ie's is Chrome. It seems to display most everything correctly on my web interface network equipment which is a plus. Have had some trouble with that on Firefox. Its fast and has some really nice features. (sync)

I generally prefer Chrome for speed, but have some automated testing that's written using a firefox plug-in so I like it as well.

If I was starting from scratch I would choose Chrome. Since I have so many add-ons, I'll stick with firefox.

 Why would you have over 10 tabs open? I have Chrome open all day and have seen no signs of a leak. Very possible that an extension could cause this though.

I run no extensions with it. I run both chrome and Firefox simultaneously usually with about 50 tabs open in each. I used to run Firefox (v2) up around 100-120 tabs. It's just things that you want to read but don't get to. Or if you have ever read on a site like digg, you can easily open 25-30 things in tabs at a time.

If you're running 120 tabs you're probably doing it wrong, and by it I mean the internet.

I just started using RockMelt. If you are in to Social Media, it is by far the best browser out there.

The only people who can't afford a Mac are poor people. By default, poor people also can't afford a proper education, so they don't know how to make wise purchases. See, instead of buying a Mac, poor people buy crack. So all these poor people are forced to hate Macs because they can't make good decisions due to lack of education. If a poor person saved a few bones and bought a Mac, they would then realize that a Mac is so powerful that they will become rich in no time because they have the proper tool to help motivate them into seeking a higher education.

It is that simple.

You try so hard, it's hard to watch sometimes.

Always use Safari, because if you use Safari, you were probably smart enough to buy a Mac.

I actually have 412 tabs open this moment using Safari, and not only am I having ZERO memory problems, I'm actually gaining memory because my Mac is learning. It made my coffee this morning also.

Just wait. By the end of the day, somebody is going to take that seriously.

Either you are good at being sarcastic or employed as a Mac salesperson.

He said his career relies on his PC, I think he's that annoying Mac guy from the ad, he's be nothing without his PC straight man.

I use my Mac for 99% of everything I do that requires a computer. However, my Mac is not compatible with my ArcMap software, so in order to do my job, I needed a good PC as well. Windows & ArcMap are the only things on my PC. The Mac sits upstairs in a nice study, surrounded by light and love, while my work machine sits in a dark corner located in the cold basement of my house. Lucky for me, I'm done working for the rest of the calendar year.

I love how many people hate IE and alot of them do so because of their own bad habits. Ill give you a little bit of the speed argument but not much. Sometimes firefox and chrome load a bit slower depending on the site. One major bonus of FF is the addons.

IE8 isn't as fast as Chrome or FF. Their javascript engine isn't even close. It's not that Microsoft isn't capable of doing it. Microsoft just runs too slow of a development cycle.

IE9 will do a lot to fix things. The hardware acceleration could put IE on top of the pile. But Microsoft needs to rev it every 6 months if they want to stay on top.

I dont know if they are slow per se, since its so tightly integrated with windows. I guess they could send something out every few months or so, but their testing process has to suck. There is alot to take into consideration that FF and Chrome doesnt have to.
