We Will Pizza!

The eight dollars isn’t just for frozen pizza. It’s also a donation.
I get that. But it would be better to make the pizza same price as others and get a lot more sales than charge more and only get those that want to make a donation.

Or at least close to the same price.

Jacks are $6 by me in Chicago. Most other pizzas are $10. If they had it in my store I would get it all the time because $2 doesn't mean **** to me
Thats chicago.

Jacks here run $3

Tombstone and Red baron run about $5

DiGiorno about $8

Totino's 4 for $10

Brew pub/lotsa motsa about $9

Walmart take and bake about $8 for 16" (48oz), 6$ for 12" (25oz)

Hyvee Mia take and bake about $10 May be "16 (about 35 oz.)

Papa Murphys take and bake $14

Papa Johns $14 (for a medium, same size as frozen.)

I guess maybe they are fine at that price point, because they are probably trying to compete with Brew Pub not Tombstone etc. I have never had brew pub outside of an actual bar. But they are pretty good. I just need to get to Ankeny to pick some up and give em a try, because my wife wont get them.

I am sure they are better quality that some of the mass produced frozen pizza.

ISU fans: Why can't we keep rosters intact?

Also ISU fans: I ain't goddamn paying $8 for no goddamn frozen pizza.
To be fair, NIL is supposed to be for guys to get paid for things like Advertisements etc. These collectives are fine but they are basically paying for play, just a broad interpretation of the rules. They are totally legal, but are being abused in how they are handled and used.

Name Image and Likeness.....ie EA sports can pay for exactly that for a video game. The local Chevy dealership can pay for a player to be in a advertisement, poster, sign or appearance. etc. as part of an ad campaign. Allstate can pay a player to sing a jingle out of tune.

These raise money for a collective to pay each player money, and go pay joe doe to come play here is not really NIL, and not how it was really supposed to work. We basically have just made bag men legal and tampering and recruit tampering legal or at least are going to ignore it and look the other way.

And I get it they do charity functions etc with them....something they always used to do anyway, but now do it to make the payment legal etc. And I get everyone has one and we have to have one too.

When some of us already donate to the Alumni association, the Cyclone club, the gridiron club, and others, plus pay for tickets, parking etc. not to mention paying for the TV content and the premium forum here, we are starting to get tapped out. Now they want us to give to the collective. All of this is on us fans, but somehow all these colleges are cashing in millions and "cant" give anything.

I dont mind giving and I give my share to multiple places, but dont come down on me when I say things may be getting out of hand, when it comes to giving and that maybe the price of something is a bit high. But at some point some of us are going to have to decide what is going to get our money, or maybe we are going to realize we are tapped out and because the requirement to maintain our tickets etc has gotten so expensive that it is no longer possible, therefore cut all of it.

Sell the pizzas, Sell the beer, sell the Amish benches, whatever it takes, sell them for as much as you can, great. But dont give any of us crap because we dont give enough. Because some of us give more than we really able or really should.

ISUs issue is we dont have enough high rollers and the ones we do have dont give enough, when comparing to other schools, and our regular Joes cant keep up with all the places to give money to, not to mention our Alumni base and fan base is quite a bit smaller than a lot of the higher earning schools. But we do pretty good considering. And our Fanbase has increase a lot over the last couple decades.

But when you criticise someone, for maybe saying we are getting tapped out, just make damn sure you have the receipts to show the tens of thousands you give to all the places asking for money. And the freezer full of the pizza, the fridge full of the beer and a full patio of the Amish furniture.

I totally understand what you are saying. somehow we are finally a little money ahead so can give to the we will. I like the pizza and will buy it to help but have to relay on my son to drink the beer, which he does. I would not look down on anyone not giving because we all have to decide what is important to us.

Actually a great way to funnel money from the AD to the collective. AD buys pizzas from supplier, profit from selling pizzas to AD goes to Collective. AD sells at events to recoup costs of original purchase.
I have had similar thoughts about other services the AD needs. I wonder how "permissible" those kinds of things are?

Suppose you contract for bus services for the AD, pay a premium price for the contract, but then get a large NIL donation from the bus service.

Is this a clever workaround, or is it money laundering? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sell. This. At. Hilton. Events.
isu concessions can barely keep up with selling walking tacos and soft pretzels in a timely fashion.
they do not need to introduce any new food items into the mix until they can get their process under control

and bars

shoot buy campustown bars pizza ovens if they commit to a volume purchase of WeWill pizza

You might know more about running a bar, but I imagine most bars are simply looking to maximize their margin on pizza. If they can sell a frozen pizza for $10, i'm guessing that number won't go up just because the we will pizza costs more, especially since most customers aren't going to see the logo on the pizza anyway.

Probably would take an owner that has particular interest in getting money to ISU maybe?
