Velo, a sidenote question: Where did calling Nebraska, "kNU" or "kNeb" originate, and what does it mean again? Is it a diss on "knowledge" or lack of it? Or "knowledge" that Nebbites seem to think too much of themselves?

I can't quite remember how that expression of our former beloved conference mate got started.

It's the N is for Knowledge crack.

There was an article written around the time kNeb moved to the B1G, as to who will get the 'NU' moniker, Nebraska or Northwestern, as both are known as NU. I think they are still debating this.

Your takes on the NU-NU dilemma

I know I shouldn't be surprised, but it's amazing how much interest a topic like how to designate Northwestern and Nebraska generates. Yes, mid February definitely is here.

Simple solution:
NU = Northwestern
kNU = Nebraska

:) Problem solved!

Cyclone Challenge:

How can we get 10,000 (or more, a lot more), Cyclone alumns (or fans), who have not yet contributed to the WeWill Collective, to give just $5.00?

That would be $50K (or a whole lot more), and it wouldn't break anyone's bank (or sense of pride).

Ideas?

You could station volunteers in the parking lot and at the gates like Salvation Army bell ringers. People don’t have anything else to do with their cash.

That has been the multi million dollar question the AD has faced for some time.

FYI. Mason city hy vee just told me their West O rep quit a bit ago so they get nothing from them. North Iowa had a good crop of ISU fans.

Btw, they then told me they had swarm, like I’d sub that in.
