We Will Collective contributor numbers

Is it the best system? No, it’s not. But it is the current system and the transfers brought in are pretty clear proof how NIL support can have an impact.
Yeah I think we all understand this system is completely f*cked but while we sit around complaining about it other schools are raising millions. If we want to stick around in the next round of realignment and be competitive stuff like supporting We Will is what needs to be done.

I think most understand this, but are also hoping this system will be a temporary stop. Some sort of agreement for schools/conferences to share the media revenue is what I’d like to see.
I think we will either have an elite conference or complete sharing will be lead by the blue bloods. I don’t think they like the SMUs of the world crashing their party with “new” money. Some new power schools might get big donors pay for big players that the BBs normally would get. So they will look to stop it by either breaking away or getting the donors away from buying players for new blood schools.

Agreed and I think we are headed there at some point.
You think "we're headed that way" with regard to conferences sharing revenue? Like the SEC is going to share media revenue with another conference?

I don’t know of any pro sport where the fans are asked to pay the players.
In reality we all pay for pro athletes. TV revenue is paid by advertisers who pass the cost along to the buyers of their products. It is a more direct payment with college, but fans are paying for pro sports. A lot of non-fans pay for pro sports.

Good luck with that request and I agree with you. It is outrageous that the universities that want everyone to succeed, no hurt feelings for everyone, and days off for stress want unabashed capitalism for their athletic departments. I give to WeWill, but as a whole, our universities are hypocrites on this topic.

Great point. We need the SMU's of the world to step. Only when they succeed will their be adjustments. Alabama and Auburn are scared to death of UT and A&M. They have always cheated at the $10-$20,000 payments. That chump change for the Texas crowd.

Agreed. The NCAA should pay the players with the billions of dollars they make every year. The more money your sport generates the more you earn.
NCAA does pay the schools. BTW, where do you think the NCAA gets their money?

Has there been a contribution amount announced yet by West O? Actually hang on, don't tally the results yet, I'm headed to the liquor store in about 20 minutes to pick up a 6 pack of Ames Lager for the game tomorrow night.

That announcement will be part of our big splash as part of the dollars matched by donors during the Texas game, so the beer you drink this weekend will be double the impact!

Am I wrong to think that NIL is here to stay? Even if conferences start paying players, what's stopping UGA or FSU from their donors funding national title teams annually?

Can we put the genie back in the bottle after it being legal?
No putting it back. Unabashed capitalism from the very entities that tell us this is wrong. I see two avenues for a correction: Congress gets involved, which is unlikely and when a school like Harvard, et al, truly buys a football or basketball title.
