As I said once earlier in this thread, he's not a bad coach, but I'm uncertain if he can take us to the next level. That's all.

Seeing as the "next level" would probably mean consistent Elite Eight & Final Four appearances and regular season Big 12 championships, we've never had that "next level" before and only three or four teams have that "next level" right now.

Also, Fred has so much potential as a coach. He came in here with no coaching experience and within five years we've done a lot. We're also in good position to make a big run next year. There is literally no other person in the world I would rather have as the Iowa State head coach than Fred Hoiberg.
