WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

LOL Vic you coach at a FB school. SEC!SEC!SEC!

I wish he would return to the Aggies since Gary Blair is retiring. Don't think that wlll happen as he is originally from Austin & he has it made coaching WBB at UT. Guess I don't care as both schools will be in the SEC as you have pointed out!

Vic has complained about his team and they are 4-3 at home with loses to the other two Texas schools in Baylor and Texas Tech. They have had a middle of the conference team for years. Now he is complaining about the fans. Maybe he is the problem.

He may be from Austin, but he graduated from A&M. Tack that on to the 15 years he spent with Blair (9 in College Station), and you have to think A&M would at least consider it.

Plus, the potential benefit of taking a coach from their rival.

Well, guess Iowa isn't Texas for attendance. Story that popped into my Facebook news feed says Iowa announced Sunday's game versus Michigan is a sellout. Man, sort of showing up the Iowa men's team with that.

Per posting, biggest crowd since 1988, way back in the Vivian Stringer days. Rivalry aside, crowds like this are good for WBB in general.

One big difference is when coach came here we were not known as a women.s basketball school while back then texas was the Jody Conrad teams were very good.

Another difference is that in general Cyclone fans have supported our teams through thick and thin. In the early 2000s Texas Tech was very good and they had a paid attendance of about 12,000 and now it is 4,600. The Cyclones paid attendance has dropped too but not nearly as drastically. And we have had some leaner years.

This is very true our tickets sold very often do not match people in the seats, but damn that OU game had a great crowd. Hoping for good crowds today and Monday. I'm bring 9 extra today LOL.

This year Iowa State is #3 in the country in women's basketball attendance at about 9,600 per game. South Carolina and UConn are one and two.

But back to Vic's complaint: my question to him is what is HE personally doing to promote his team in his community? Complaining is not promoting.

#14 Notre Dame WBB not having a good time @ #4 Louisville. 45-4 Louisville with around 6 minutes left in the half. This is not a typo.
They just said that Ash is going to be on the half time show. Get to your TV.

Holy cow! Had to flip it on. That's the #14 team getting routed that bad at home? Damn.

What happened to lead to the big ref conference? Double T's?
