77-47 final. The last 12 minutes with the reserves were pretty forgettable. Mays was only in for 3 minutes. Don't know if she did something wrong when she was in.
My guess is because she had the ball multiple times in the lane but never looked to shoot once. Shouldn't get minutes if you're not looking to score.
I don't know and it's really bothering me. We need all the help we can get come big 12 and if Pop and Anna's injuries linger we will be ******.

Z was getting easily pushed around at times by an undersized opponent. I don't know if she's just not being aggressive enough or what. Like mred said, her D is not where we'd like it to be and that has to a hindrance to her playing time.
I was at the game and watched Z on defense just to see what she might have been doing or not doing. It seemed to me that at least one if not two of the three fouls called on her were very questionable. So did the crowd, not surprisingly. I wonder if there may be something in her defensive posture that attracts those kinds of questionable calls. But I could not tell. Otherwise, Z had a good game with 11 pts. in only 12 mins.
In watching her, she is a step slow on defense. She is a good shooter, but her defense is suspect.

I don't think the MVSU were dirty as the Dismal Rag's images caught instances of an overworked, undersized and frustrated team against likes of HC and Brynn at home. Under the basket they were ineffectually scrappy, but I'd say they did not act too out of line despite Zim getting a facial.
I think you are right about their frustration. One of their players was lying under the basket, and when one of our players tried to help her up, she refused the help. In another incident, one of their players shoved Fallon well after the play was over; to her credit, Fallon did not retaliate.
I think if she were able to get more minutes, she could work into a groove. But she has to do it in practice because the game minutes obviously aren't available. She has talent, she is a smart player. It just seems like she isn't at top speed the minute she gets in to play, and she gets taken out. I know BF preaches earning your PT by getting better in practice. She just needs to figure out how to step up and be a real leader on D. Her offensive game looks good.
