***WBB: 2024 Recruiting Thread***

On such a downward tread that Fritz, who started for us, was 9th in minutes played versus perennial cupcake Southern. Perhaps not the Mulkey Baylor of old but I'd not be burying them just yet.
I wouldn't say Fritz not being Top Dog means things are going well for Baylor. Different coaches have different priorities and Nicki Collen's coaching record is the definition of 'diminishing returns'.

Updated with Peterson commitment

Seeing Alyssa Wirth of Wisconsin setting there all alone on your list with no commitment makes me wonder if she decommitted from MN after the coach change on her own or had the offer withdrawn. She seems to be only getting low level mid-major offers now but had the bad luck of getting injured (torn meniscus) after her decommit.

I've wondered the same thing. She might consider waiting until spring to sign. I watched parts of a highlight video and it looks like she has decent post moves (and you can't teach 6'5"). I don't think she looked like a high-major post (except maybe for a team who is just looking for post depth and struck out on higher-rated options) but she might be able to find a spot on a decent mid-major. The NIU offer isn't bad.

Just noticed Wirth verballed Ferris State this morning. I've updated the table accordingly.

I don’t want to minimize their accomplishments, but I don’t believe this is particularly meaningful. I played at a very small HS in central Iowa and my coach nominated me many years ago. McD’s sent me a nice certificate which amused my oldest son many years later. Here’s the nomination criteria:

724 HS boys and girls were nominated this year. I roll my eye when I see social media posts on it.

It is an honor to make the 24 selected for each team. Too bad the games themselves sort of suck but the game is secondary for the most part.

I really wanted to tease you on this by saying, well...at least we know these two ladies are really good. Oh, I guess I did tease you there :D

Aren't Iowa girls' HS playoffs starting next week? Aili Tanke's Johnston High School Team is 21-0 in 5A. Tanke is rated the No. 1 State of Iowa recruit for 2024. Her teammate and widely recruited Jenica Lewis is #1 for 2026.

Any info on Reagan Wilson's Indiana team record, playoff, rankings, and such?

Good call bringing this up. Wilson's Noblesville team is solid but not spectacular (15-8 record). They won their first postseason game yesterday, 56-42 in the sectional semifinal. The sectional final is tonight at 7pm.

Small school playoffs start the 10th so Johnston would likely be a few days later. My guess is around the 15th. I believe "big school" pairings come out this week

Here is the live score for Noblesville's game tonight.

Hamilton is led by 2025 Indiana verbal Maya Makalusky, who was on my 2025 ISU recruiting list prior to her verbal.
