Jersey just a tad dark. Looks a lot like ASU. The only uniform I have seen most ISU fans agree upon is the one we had against Iowa back in 2007. Those were sweet. I really thought they were going to that look, they didn't. IMO they muffed it up. I think our uni's are just okay at best and they do look like USC. Everyone says our colors are cardinal and gold. Well, it looks bright yellow to me, not gold. I don't understand why the could not duplicate the shade of gold they had for the Iowa game in 2007. I just think the contrast of an almost maroon shade of cardinal and yellow doesn't look as good as if they had white numbers on the jerseys or at least a white outline on the numbers.
i hate when we get called 'little brother' by iowa fans, but i stumbled across this picture which sort of proves their point:

One of the stupidest statements I have ever read on CF. You do realize that our current uniforms are based off those same ones you are talking about? "Muffed it up" ??? Seriously?
The away jerseys are sharp and look good. But does that look like gold in the home jersey to you? The home jerseys are not terrible; they just aren't as good as they could be.

Hmm... ok, the "gold" in both uniforms is the same color... judging by your icon, you won't be happy with an Iowa State uniform until they are laced with white doilies and mustard yellow helmets? So... lets just keep what we have, the majority of us like our uniforms the way they are.

Hell, just read CF - I swear half of the post are about the Hawks. We clearly care more about them than anyone would like to admit. :sad:

Alright lets be nit picky. You must be an interior design major, because its just a shade of f*cking old gold. I can't believe some of the stuff that people complain about. We just won a bowl game for the first time since 2004, and have have the best uniforms since the 1970s.
Stop complaining that we look like USC. Iowa looks like the Steelers, Kansas looks like the Giants, Duke looks like the Colts. Who cares. Lets let it rest. Just. Win. That is all that matters.

I haven't done any design classes ever.
Because it is annoying me that there are uniform threads every month of people demanding that we change our uniform again for the 29340th time in our school history.
