WARNING: football uniform thread!

I think many of us have been hoping that we could somehow distinguish our football uniforms a little more from USC's, correct?

I've always thought we should go with yellow helmets, but I doubt we will ever see that happen?

So... I've decided... based on our basketball away uniforms... that our football uniforms need just a little bit of white in them somewhere. I think our basketball away uniforms are sweet! The little thin white lines in them really make things stand out even more and look even sharper IMO.

I will try to doctor up some photos using my horrible photoshop skills and post them here when I get the chance.

I would love to see the helemts they wore during the Throwback game 2 years ago. But other than that I love our uni's, and could care less if they are a USC ripoff

I can't find a picture of the 2004 Iowa State football team poster, but the uniform Ellis Hobbs is wearing:

Red Jersey from 2003/2004/2005
White Pants with maybe triple stripe..? Cant remember
Red Helmet with Bird coming out of the tornado thing
White shoes/socks

Similar to the cheifs, but a waay awesome look.

Those jerseys were way to bright, but they were definitely better than the dogbones... They look better with the white pants.

Looking at the jerseys I posted.... The new ones are the best, they don't need changed. And I'm a gluton for punishment, but there is many threads on this. Then again there are 20 threads about who a new coach should be too....

Those are pretty much our away jerseys. the helmet is different. I think all the talk about USC is stupid. We had a very similar style to what we are wearing now...with a few modern updates, 30 years ago. Geez, we aren't copying USC, we are bringing back an element of our past during a time when we were successful.

Those are pretty much our away jerseys. the helmet is different. I think all the talk about USC is stupid. Geez, we aren't copying USC, we are bringing back an element of our past during a time when we were successful.

I love our away Unis. I would be fine adding a white stripe in between the yellow stripes on the shoulder of our home unis though However, the AD has more important things to worry about and we don't need to spend the $$ on unis. I really like both current sets and like that we have settled on cardinal pants for away.
