Walking Dead

They were almost cartoonish...I never really felt the threat there.
Tonight was...something different...

I haven't followed this show for years, other than occasionally checking in when they show reruns.

I saw the movie 'The Lobster' this past year, and was disgusted by a lot of it. Just made the mistake of watching Glenn's death (it's already up on Youtube). Good reminder why I don't watch TWD regularly.

No thanks.

Good thing you had to come here and let us all know that. :)

She did in real life on Talking Dead. I think she may have outpaced Coral for character fans would be least upset about being zombie food.
I guess this is the first that i have noticed but tonight seemed really bad. Everything else was great though.

My pick of who gets batted down tonight are either Glenn or Abraham. Who do you guys think?

So, 'guy' should really be 'weenie'? It's a freaking zombie show. What did you expect?

Pretty solid episode. They stayed true to the comic as well with Glenn getting the bat.

Negan is evil and dark. This episode was all about breaking Rick. Gritty start to the season.

Like a lot of people I hated the way they ended last season. That being said, I loved this episode. I assumed they would go weak and kill off a minor character, but they nailed it and stayed true to the comic. This episode had emotion and I am pumped for the season to come.

Thanks for your opinion, but we're a bunch of blood thirsty misanthropes around here. Your thinly veiled attempt at expressing your concern for the downfall of society is falling on deaf ears here.

I had to look up the lobster thing...and I'm STILL confused. Is that what he was doing?

I should have explained better...

The Lobster is a movie that came out last yearish...pretty dark and lots of weird violence....very effective and actually a good movie, just not enjoyable to watch, if that makes sense. The scene with Glenn was similar. Great scene, great drama, not enjoyable to watch.

I like the Walking Dead and zombie flicks...I just don't seek it out any more to voluntarily stress/gross myself out on a Sunday night.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 reruns are on Comet on Sunday nights...much more relaxing. :)

Big fan of those as well. :)

Last night was easily the hardest TWD I've watched...as much because of the sheer evil in the methods of Negan to break Rick as in the sound effects when he broke Abraham and Glenn.

I'm usually pretty good with gore and violence, but Glenn trying desperately to tell Maggie he loved her (I think that's what I heard?) before he died, with his skull caved in so bad that his eye was popping out just got me. That was absolutely brutal. Even if you're not a fan of his or Carl's characters, last night's episode was emotional as all hell. Being forced to chop off your own son's hand with a ******* hatchet at the whim of a madman would absolutely destroy even the strongest of fathers. That was by far the toughest episode of the series for me.
