Walking Dead

Does anyone find it a bit unsettling that they are now essentially going to attack Nigen's group for commerce? This almost makes them worse then the Governor's group.... They are basically mercenaries now. I get that there is a little bit of indirect history with the roadblock group that they blew away, but they are kind of poking the hornets nest, aren't they? They have been able to survive for this long without any trading, you would think that they are resourceful enough to keep plodding on without any external help....

Safety in numbers. Build communities, create trade. Only way to survive. Have to clear out dangers. But yes, they are poking the hornets nest, they will get stung.

More of a preemptive attack. They are within a days drive of Hilltop. Figure it's only a matter of time before Negan finds Alexandria. Use the element of surprise to prevent them from becoming Negan's ***** like Hilltop.

Overall I don't mind the pre-emptive strike, because Negan's men already threatened and robbed his people (and probably would have killed them too), plus they know what kind of group they are from what the Hilltoppers told them. But I am sure the execution will be bad - the last time Rick did a pre-emptive strike on a group of Walkers that were controlled in the quarry, it ended up terribly. I'm sure this strike won't be as easy as he is thinking.

Or....
Someone tells Negan where they are. And bottom line, they are in desperate need of food despite the show not emphasizing that.

Tough call. Do you have knife skills?

Some - probably not as good as CG though. However, I AM ruthless. According to a Facebook quiz, I will survive the zombie apocalypse - mostly because I was willing to throw my son under the bus. ;)

Just call me Carol...

I thought the exact same thing. They've alluded to it somewhat, but nobody is in danger of starving right now. But they're going to risk and probably lose lives for what, a temporary solution? And if they're afraid of being attacked by Negan's group, it's much easier to defend a position than attack one. The whole story line seems stupid.

Well... the plan is by the same guy who thought the best way to handle a large group of walkers contained in a quarry... was to lead them out of the quarry - instead of killing them in the quarry, or fortifying the quarry so they couldn't get out. Rick is a badass, but strategic planning is not his strength.

Yea, since Alexandria is the only group that now knows the location of the Saviors and Hilltop, smart thing to do would be to set up ambushes to attack Savior patrols on the roads. Once those patrols did not return, Negan would likely send out other forces which could also be trapped/ambushed.

But General Rick will likely come up with a full frontal attack on a defended position.

At least Negan doesn't know they're coming. Daryl will be able to scout them out so hopefully Rick and Co will know what they're doing.

I thought this was kind of interesting. It's in reference to the attack on Negan.

No way on Daryl.

An unarmed attack, at that, for the element of surprise.

Yeah, that's what I thought. My money's on Abraham or Glenn. Some people are suggesting Michonne in the article this came from...

High, high probality of Glenn. The whole sonagram picture tied their relationship up and he is ready to go after the miracle escape.

I know who dies in the comic but something tells me the show switches it up on us.
