Both of us (PapaLew & I) thought they should have taken the truck STRAIGHT back to Alexandria. The contents were too important to take the time to toodle around the countryside with all of that in the truck.

Random dude pulls one over on you and drives away with your truck o' stuff. You chase him down on foot for lord knows how far, jump him, get the truck back, and tie him up on the road. As you pull away with the truck, you don't look in the rearview mirror and notice that he's not in the road anymore? Rick and Daryl should be demoted to gardening duty immediately.
