Walking Dead

It's been said that only the primitive part of their brain is still active which gives them the need to feed. They might not actually need the food in their system. I don't think they process it. Interesting thought though.

I didn't think they actually need flesh to survive since they're already dead. I thought that it's just a virus that wants to spread and them attacking living people is just a way for it to spread.

Except in the Walking Dead, everybody is already infected and becomes a zombie when they die. Zombie bites are just lethal in the Walking Dead, not sure why, something about a fever and it kills you. It actually seems to work like venom since amputating a bitten limb will prevent the bite from killing the patient.

Also they do hunger in the Walking Dead, and if they don't eat they become more docile/weak. At least I think that is what Milton said about Michonne's two zombie pets when the Governor asked.

Yeah that occurred to me right after I posted. I'm not sure how that works then.

I meant to start a zombie apocalypse thread over the summer. I think I talked to longtime about doing it in another thread in the spring. We could discuss everything from shelter to weaponry to groups of people. I know I could still start that thread, but it was gonna be an offseason thread.

Yeah I was thinking about this since the end of the world is coming soon but I have been really slammed at work for a while and it did slip my mind. Now we are only a few short days away and I am not prepared at all other than a gun with some ammo.

I believe this was because their jaw was removed so they couldn't eat and lost the desire to.

Here's my weapon of choice. Poison gas and Rick's machete. Have a gas mask, throw some tear gas into a huge crowd, run and hide til all are dead

I can see why half of civilization dies in the Zombie Apocalypse. So many people just are clueless on how to kill zombies, it's like you aren't even watching the show. Frist we got a guy who thinks an axe is the best way to kill zombies, now this. Have fun tear gassing those Zombies, they will tear you to shreds, and I hope you are around when I get into trouble, the Zombies can feast on your tear gassing *** while I take your machette and get away.

You know, because he's British and all. Watch "Love Actually" if you want to do a double-take...or if you want to watch a terrible movie...or if you want to score points with your ladyfriend.

That kind of messed with my brain as well. I kept listening for it during the shows afterwards thinking I might catch a hole in the accent.

They had a season one marathon on Sunday. I was bouncing back and forth between that and the Super Bowl. They showed the first 2 minutes to next Sundays show and it starts exactly the way I thought it would.

On Feb 14 they are going to be showing episodes in Black & White. I think those would be awesome. Not sure which ones but it seemed to me to be the early ones.
