Walking Dead

Almost felt as long as this (except Zombieland did it for comedic purposes):

In all seriousness, though, I actually enjoyed tonight's episode and will miss Carl.

Altogether it was a good episode. Coral dragged on waaaaaaaaay too long but everything else was entertaining.

I'm never worried about the premier episodes. It's the following half-dozen that have me worried...

Here's another good article. Apparently after the Savior's are finished there is another group called "The Whisperer's" waiting in the wings. Good lord.

I've read the comics. Let me assure you, the Whisperers arc isn't great of what I've read of it. I actually think the show would do better to just trash that arc and do something different. Plus, Rick's accent trying to say "the Whisperers" constantly would be downright unintelligable.

I think that's what the show plans to do, honestly, simply because Carl is basically the main character in the Whisperers arc. The comics sort of pulled a "Walking Dead 2.0" with that arc, big time jump, everybody is a lot older, etc.

Outside of it being a little long (could have easily had a normal 1 hour episode), I thought this was one of the best TWD's in awhile. It got back to character interaction between the main group instead of a fake shoot 'em up non-stop "action" scene. I hope it continues.

The Carl piece was way too long and there seemed to be about 40 minutes of commercials in the 80 minutes it was one.

Somewhere out there, Carl is still talking. Still delivering his farewell speech. Still talking about ... wait, what again was he saying? Something about a coupon?

Another 'meh' episode. I did not even know it was back on until Friday night one of my friends mentioned it to me. I feel like the show is confused on what they are supposed do. They try and be too cute/cool and smarter than everyone else. They end up looking like fools and end up hurting their product.

I was not entertained at all. @alarson above with the reddit quote has me rolling laughing. It's perfect.

Totally agree with the "just die already, Carl" sentiment. That was just ridiculously drawn out and bad.

Morgan was the only thing that saved the episode for me. His scenes were pretty awesome.

I find it funny that whenever someone gets bitten but doesn't get swarmed, they only have a bite mark. These things have shown the ability to rip someone's chest apart and bite chunks out of people, but when they need to show a bite on someone still alive, it's only a nibble. Carl's bite was what, 5 seconds long? And he only got a surface wound out of it?

Oh, the dragging out isn't finished. The trailer for next week's episode showed a clip where they find the farewell letters Carl wrote for each person.

Was anyone curious why Morgan didn't shoot the people with guns in the window before they could mow every zombie down?

If I recall correctly, he said on the walkie talkie that they'll run out of ammo before they run out of walkers to shoot. It was too late when he realized they were building a wall with the bodies.

Honestly, I think it was good move by AMC to kill of a character that many thought were "protected." Still trying to understand what the point of the show is now. I liked it a lot the first few seasons, but moving in the "communities" and Saviors phase is what really kind of lost me.

I actually kind of like the FWD, as much as others dislike it, because it is still in all hell is broke loose survivor mode.

Solid episode tonight. Negan tells his right hand man to kill one ... just ONE ... of the garbage people. He wipes out all but one instead. Ruh roh.

Negan and Rick at the end. Something has to give.
