Walking Dead

I also like Negan. He's at least a good villain for Rick and Co.

I'm worried about where the show goes if/when they take out Negan. Unless he completely destroys Alexandria, which is a possibility I guess, there's not a lot left for Rick and Co to do.

It's been far too long since the group has been on the road and forced to find a new home.

Just not sure what the new plot lines will be if they take out the Saviors. Someone else takes over the Saviors? Wash, rinse, repeat for a few more seasons?

I still like the show, but it is getting a bit repetitive.
I get the feeling Gregory's role is going to expand a little bit...or get pre-empted.

Dude is setting himself up to get ganked if he messes with Maggie. People actually respect her and if Rick found out Gregory went after her, he might literally rip his throat out.

I think he's headed for the Saviors' stronghold...to stay. He told his "assistant" to pack a bag.

I wasn't sure if he was going there to stay or to report that Maggie is at Hilltop and get some Negan cronies to take her and her loyalists out.

I don't see him lasting long or having any real power at the Saviors stronghold. He's not tough, or smart. He was just lucky enough to be in charge of Hilltop and has had people taking care of him ever since.

Maggie exposed his lie about killing walkers to some of the other residents. Word will spread quickly, and it won't be long before he has lost all of their respect and trust. They're already mad that he gave Negan their doctor (apparently BOTH of their doctors if I understood that conversation correctly).

Gregory's days at Hilltop are numbered...and I don't think he can stay there if he's not in charge. His ego wouldn't take it. Unfortunately, he's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Most likely outcome, Negan will toy with him and then squash him.

This is the problem. The stories about life on the road are more interesting but if you were in the same situation wouldn't you want to try to set up roots somewhere?

In the end people would want to get back to a more normal life rather than just scavenging for scraps. Of course normal would be boring.

I can usually guess whats going to happen an hour before it happens.

Is the 2nd part of this season taking place over a couple of days? That is what I am gathering anyway...

I can't remember who it was because I only half ass pay attention when the show's on but somebody talked about protecting Maggie because she was the future leader. It may have been Jesus. That leads me to believe that we will see her being much more of a leader in the future perhaps with Jesus.

As for Carl, they should have just bashed his head in instead of Abrahams or in addition to. He's useless at this point.

I agree with others that there are too many stories going on at once. But that's the downside of a very popular show - they have to break it up because they can't pay everyone to be in every episode.

Does anyone think that Negan gets killed next week? The writers have said there will be no cliffhanger this season so we should get some resolution. And it seems like they have put too much into Negan to kill him off in just over 1 season. Even the Governor made it longer than that.

At least the episodes are picking up a little. I still don't like how the show has gone from how do we survive in this world and build relationships with people to let's organize as many factions as we can to kill other humans. But I'm still watching.

It's good to know that years into the zombie apocalypse that ultrasounds will still be available. I get we have to suspend disbelief for certain scenarios but it's stuff like that that gets the writers criticized. Sasha and Rosita hatch this grand plan for taking out Negan, go to all the trouble of finding a scoped rifle, and after they don't get a shot during his first appearance it's "Screw this, I'm going in"? Dumb. Lazy writing.

That really ticked me off. It was actually a good plan and they could have gotten the job done without tying it to a specific group. Yes, someone from Negans group would have taken over, but he might not have been as bad as Negan. And you'd probably have some fighting over who gets to lead, weakening them as a whole.

The only reason I can see for them scrapping the sniper plan was that they thought they could spring Eugene and he could help them get the job done. Of course that went to crap pretty quick.

I was thinking we'd know if he had. I'm betting it's someone else.

Maybe that's a little surprise for us. Someone we thought we could trust ratted them out.

Maybe the Trash Heap made a side deal with Negan and is going to **** Rick over.

My take on them scrapping the sniper plan so quickly was not only because of the Eugene factor, but also because of their prior impatience (especially Rosita) and the bonding they did in the warehouse right before. I mean, the main reason they went after Negan on their own was because they didn't want to wait for Rick and the rest of the group to do what they needed to do. They wanted immediate satisfaction, and they were willing to give up their lives to get it. Rosita was planning on going in, guns blazing right up until they were almost there and Sasha convinced her otherwise. Combine that with their bonding moment when they said they had each other's back no matter what, and I didn't find it all that surprising that they scrapped the sniper plan.
