Walking Dead

To me this episode, no matter how good, just felt like a device to keep the story from advancing too far and extendong out TWD. Seems we get one or two of these episodes every year. Agree w previous poster, if this show had 26 episodes, no biggie, great episode, but if you've read the comics our anticipation for certain things to come soon are delayed. We get 90 minutes of Morgan, then incredibly important multiple plot moments will be rushed through . Just wish this show would tell the story and stop trying to be artsy fartsy mimic of BB, cause it never will come close. Also, having all the multiple directors makes them all try to out do the other versus cohesion.

Sounds like a prescription drug to treat erectile dysfuntion.

I don't think there is any doubt about that. Production costs and storyline pace are behind many if not all these decisions. But just because that's the case, doesn't mean you can disregard this episode. It seems a lot of people are discounting the ability to weave the clues surrounding Morgan and then take those pieces and put them together in an episode. The rabbits foot, the holding the baby comment; pulling those items into an episode and playing off them without shoving them at the audience like they're stupid is good writing.

I've got my storyline issues with TWD, but metaphorically catching your breath with an episode like this isn't one of them.

Troll. It was ok but let's keep it in our pants.

Nah, I really liked it, even though it was for the most part predictable. I enjoy the more focused, slower paced character driven episodes. And I really liked the acting in this one from Lenny and the guy who played Eastman.

Why are half the actors in TWD British? It's filmed in 'Merica. Was their a shortage of B list actors available when they did their casting call?

Of the top 16 cast members listed on IMDb, only Andrew Lincoln is British. Drop down to 21 & 23 and you have Lennie James & David Morrisey (Morgan & the Governor) who are both from England. Lauren Cohan (Maggie) was born in Philly to an American dad & a Scottish mother who later divorced; she is American, but has lived primarily in the UK since the age of 14.

So, exaggerate much? :)

Fun fact I learned while looking through that - Danai Gurira (Michonne) was born in Grinnell, IA.

I think they wanted good actors that you wouldn't recognize from other shows. It seems to be working out pretty well.

There are a ton of good British actors, and apparently it is incredibly easy to do an American accent. Less film competition to hire them.

Look at a show like Game of Thrones, great acting all around, and the vast majority are British.

I DVRd the last 4 episodes. When I went to watch them this afternoon, I inadvertently started with last weeks episode. I see this as a blessing since I get to skip the cliffhanger but also because I watched Morgan's reactions to situations more closely. Having his back story right up front made the show much better imo.

Also, I agree, it's impossible to watch an episode live. Gotta DVR 'em.

Well...that's one way to start it...

Here's hoping for minimal flashback.
