W and L the 2010 Schedule

Guys, hold your predictions.

They are talking about this thread on hawkeyenation and we should not be expecting anything over 2 wins. Who were we to predict a conference win, shame on us!

And for future reference, do not mention ISU and the great University of Iowa in the same sentence, we are not worthy.

****** bags

It takes place on both sides so who cares?

We got some monkeys off of our backs last year when we won a few games on the road and hopefully that can carry over into this year.

Like last year, we are not expected to be a threat to anybody.

Outside of probable losses to UT and OU and probable wins against UNI and Northern Illinois, every other game can be debated on why we might win or why we might lose.

@incyte "I forgot how often we win in Boulder . . ."

my point is that they are colorado and have been really bad lately. the reason we haven't done well there is because we were pretty much at their level. we are coming off a bowl win season and they were what 3-9? I don't care where the game is, we should expect to beat them

I won't lie. I have said before on here that this team could go anywhere from 2-10 to 7-5. I 'can' see 7 wins, but I can also see 10 loses if we don't play to potential and get some bad breaks.

I think it makes more since to do probability of victory:

Northern Illinois - 75%
@ Iowa - 15%
Kansas State (@ Arrowhead) - 50%
UNI - 85%
Texas Tech - 50%
Utah - 45%
@ Oklahoma - 5%
@ Texas - 5%
Kansas (Homecoming) - 65%
Nebraska - 45%
@ Colorado - 45%
Missouri - 60%

Add it all up and I get 5.45 wins. That seems about right to me.

Pretty close..

Northern Illinois - 75% - W
@ Iowa - 20% - L
Kansas State (@ Arrowhead) - 50% - W
UNI - 85% - W
Texas Tech - 40% - L
Utah - 50% - W
@ Oklahoma - 10% - L
@ Texas - 10% - L
Kansas (Homecoming) - 60% -W
Nebraska - 35% -L
@ Colorado - 45%- L
Missouri - 40% - L

5.2 wins. NIU, UNI, Utah, KU and winning one of KSU or CU. I will go with KSU for now.

Potentially going bowling by winning just one of our last three. I would take that scenario in a heart beat.

The queen ******* are tearing this thread up on HN, you know the fans that think they should have a shot at the NC every year, even with near failures to UNI and ArKansas State.

Who cares what they think? Apparently you do so why don't you just go hang out on HN with them.

I think we get three bad losses (@Iowa, @Oklahoma, @Texas)
We have 2 games we should definitely win (NIU, UNI)
Hopefully we also pick up 3 close wins (@KSU, Kansas, and @Colorado)
But I think we drop 3 close games to (TTech, Nebraska and Utah)
At that point we're 5-6, going to Mizzou needing a win to be bowl eligible. I think we get a big win there.
Season: 6-6

I see ISU beating NIU, UNI, and Kansas. That's it. The insane folks who have the Cyclones winning 8-9 games are going to be in for one very long season.

That would put us 9-3 (6-2) and likely land us in the Big XII Championship Game. Nebraska will lose to Texas, and we would have the tie-breaker by beating them in Ames...AGAIN!

I think the Utah game is a toss-up, but one we'll prevail in. Even with a loss to the Utes, it wouldn't negatively impact our chances of making it to the Big XII Championship Game.

Wow, quite the optimist we have here. Realistic? Not a chance!

Perhaps you should take off the blinders and start thinking about the team that the cyclones really are, and that is not a great team at all. Here's their record next year:

Northern Illinois - W
@ Iowa - L
Kansas State (@ Arrowhead) - L
UNI - W
Texas Tech - L
Utah - L
@ Oklahoma - L
@ Texas - L
Kansas (Homecoming) - W
Nebraska - L
