I'd like to see them fire everyone and start over.
I'm not a big Cousins fan, but people putting yesterday on him are just looking to confirm a pre-existing bias.
Defense and special teams were a bigger issue. How do you let Matt Moore carve you up all day? Missing a PAT and SHANKING a critical punt did far more to lose that game than Cousins.

Agree. Plus many of Cousins' throw were with an interior offensive lineman getting shoved right back into his face. He couldn't step into hardly any of his throws yesterday.
I agree that the game shouldn't be blamed on Cousins, (Because I think Cousins is a game manager, he did his job). However, the Vikings are not paying him game manager money, they are paying him as a top 10 QB in the league who should be able to put the game on his shoulders (Especially with 2 minutes on the clock and only needing a field goal to win).

Find me a QB who will carry a team behind the Vikings OL. I don't think there is one -- they literally devised an entire offense to intentionally get Cousins away from the line/pocket, often, and even that isn't enough most games. That said, no, he didn't have a good game. He missed many opportunities and consequently left some points on the field.
Also, it's being understated how well the Chiefs generally played yesterday. Moore took a bunch of hits, but still delivered some good passes. Hill and Kelce were largely indefensible (Hill carried them to most of their points). The Chiefs secondary was strong in coverage, and their supposedly-garbage run D kept Cook in check. They played a great game (apart from the kick returning).
Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, literally anyone who can escape internal pressure every once in a while rather than just being a sitting duck.
I'd give you Wilson for sure, Jackson maybe. Rodgers and Stafford aren't meaningfully more mobile than Cousins. Cousins can use his feet, but usually by that time he's already being hit by someone (occasionally his own linemen). Last season, they were the worst OL in the league in snap-to-pressure time. This year is only slightly-improved in that regard, and some of that is due to the scheme change.
Hell, Stafford has dealt with bad OLs for large chunks of his career. Guess what -- he consequently hasn't won a lot of games. Not a coincidence. The Vikings will not take the next step as a team without a real OL, regardless of who is at QB.
If you don't think Rodgers is way more mobile than Cousins, I suggest you look at his prime time film. He is known for his plays of making something out of nothing.
The rate of pay is an issue, but that's on management, not Cousins.
The one possession where the game was on the line, the play calling was weak, and the protection was awful. And even then, if defense and special teams do their job, they'd have another shot.
The thing Cousins should be most criticized for in yesterday's performance is sliding short of the first down. That was inexcusable.
Does he regularly do that sub-5 seconds from the snap, sometimes with multiple linemen giving up pressures simultaneously in that timeframe?
That's what Cousins has to do. Often.
I agree with everything you just said and feel inadequate to ever have a conversation about football again while you are in the room.
Everything you said is 100% true. Key players on defense have regressed significantly and the kicking game is always an adventure. I'd also add that the play calling was horrendous down the stretch yesterday.
But, at what point is it fair to ask a guy you paid $84 million guaranteed to overcome a bit of adversity? The guy had two chances at the end of the game to put the game away and/or lead a game winning drive against a well below average defense, and he failed miserably both times. Matt Freaking Moore did though.
I agree that Rodgers is agile and can extend plays with his feet but he may be the luckiest QB in the league when it comes to throwing it up for grabs.
I would like to see Rhoads and Waynes both get traded. Rhoads seems to be past his prime and Waynes is still getting burned and flagged far too often. Maybe get a 2nd rounder and 3rd rounder out of them. Go OT in round 1, corner and DT in round 2, LB and another CB in round 3. And a QB in a kid round as you said. Someone like Brady White could be a solid backup for a long time and maybe even develop into a starter.
Tyreek Hill won them that game. Moore just threw up prayers to him in the second half that were caught, repeatedly. He even caught a late long ball in double-coverage. Vikings didn't have that guy yesterday (and again, some of that is on Cousins for having a day of poor accuracy).
But I do credit Moore for standing in the pocket often and chucking those plays out there. He got crushed multiple times throughout the game, but still hung in there and got it done.
Hell of a win last night. Cowboys passing offense either looked really really good or Vikings pass defense looked on its heels most of the game. Probably a combo of both. Cousins was grooving without Thielen and finally beat a good team on the road.
