Seriously? You’re blaming Cousins with an O line that consists of 5 turnstiles? And how much more can you ask of the defense tonight?
Th o-line has been garbage, but Cousins can never have a big game against good opponents so they are both to blame. You got one of the best WR duos and a couple good TEs, you'd think they would be able to do something.
You have no Cook or Mattison, zero reason to respect the run game or play action. With this pile of trash OL that's just a hopeless situation.
Well one the bright side he probably prevented a strip sack. He's just ******* awful.
I like Boone a lot, but he has a skill set that doesn't translate to the Vikings offense quite look Cook or Mattison. Oh well, could be worse... like David Montgomery's situation, for example.
Now that the division is out of reach, keep most of the starters out next week and hopefully go into the playoffs with very few injuries.
Cousins was awful tonight, no doubt about that. BUT, the play calling has been absolutely atrocious and did nothing to put him in a position to be successful. (And this is not just a defense of Kirk - he sucked tonight) Kirk's strengths are play action and roll outs. Virtually none of those called. Kirk's weakness is drop back passing. The Offensive Line's weakness is also drop back passing. So of course almost every single pass play was a drop back pass. I know Cook makes a HUGE difference, but this team has arguably the best receiving tandem in the league and a top 5 tight end. 10 points is inexcusable with the weapons this team has.
This team has a defense that is good enough to go to the Super Bowl. But they are going to be one and done because the offense is anemic.

At what point can you expect a guy you pay $28 million a year to overcome a bit of adversity and win a game against a good team? You know, like the other guys that make that kind of money do? Kirk is who he is. He’s never going to win a big game.

Have to hope that Seattle beats the 49ers next week. If that's the case would probably play Seattle who has quite a few injuries right now.
This x 1000. Elite QB's overcome obstacles to win big games. Kirk cannot do that. Painful truth. Just don't see this team winning a championship with him as our QB. So hope I am wrong.
