I think we should all just back off of Clayton Vette. Not many here really know the whole story, and those that do are not going to tell because it isn't the fan base's business.

Im not knocking him for leaving my idea is if you don't want to be here than you shouldn't. Am I upset he left yes I am we could of used another big frame down low. Am I going to hate him the rest of my life no. I forgot about him until this thread was broughten up I hope he succeeds in life.

Exactly we needed his body in the future. I think the homesickness us a cop out. It has to be more than what we know I wish him the best but he should of figured this out before enrolling @ ISU. Could of saved him alot of time and trouble.

Vette cannot go to any Missourri Valley school as part of his agreement when he was realeased from his LOI with Indiana State last year.

I don't think he signed a LOI with Indiana St. thus he was not released.

I personally do not care why he left but have no problem with people speculating. I do not recall seeing a thread started about why he left, it is typically in response to someone providing an "update" on how he is doing.

Not saying I know the truth on this rumor, but I do have an example of how wrong internet rumors can be:

Some of you may remember the story a couple of weeks ago where the U of Iowa student passed out in an alley in extreme cold. Rumors were that he lost various digits and his genitals to frostbite. I know a friend of the family, and he didn't lose any of the above. He left the hospital the next day. Even a IC newspaper reported that he lost some fingers.

Just a cautionary tale. Be choosy on your sources.

I Would Disagree

A. Thats just not going to happen.
B. By signing that letter of intent he put himself out in the public eye. Unfortunately thats just the way it is and it's one of the first things they tell you at the new student athlete orientation. You can't just politely sweep it under the rug...

What Vette or any players does on the basketball court or in public view is the fans business. Otherwise ANY players private life is just that PRIVATE and a LOI doesn't change anything. The only way their private life becomes fair game is if they choose to make it so by breaking the law.
